Had no idea Crispin Glover is in this.

Yep. The Knave of Hearts.
 Pretty cool, I've always thought he was a pretty damn good actor but got a bit of a bad rep because of his past odd behavior...yeah he should fit in just fine with Burton and Depp.

The thing I wonder is if Depp and Glover were on set at the same time at all. Just curious as to if they talked about Willy Wonka at all since Glover basically played the parody of Depp's version in one of those godawful spoof films. That would be a fun/funny conversation to listen to.

Actually, Crispin was pretty funny in that. Only decent part of the movie. But the best Wonka...is Christopher Lloyd.

I don't understand why people are irritated by a Director/Actor collaboration for multiple films.

Scorsese has done the same with Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro and Leo Dicaprio.

The Coen Bros. have done the same with Francis McDormand, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi.

The list goes on and on.

There's no real reason for the complaining. The main excuse I've heard is that it's "annoying", which tells me more about the immaturity of the posters than why they actually have a problem with it.

It's hilarious because when it comes to Depp and Burton, in most films Depp has played characters so different that he practically hides who he really is to the point where I call BS on anyone who says it's gotten annoying with those two. That and the fact that Burton may have that weird, dark and quirky style but none of his films have felt or looked entirely the same as some try to claim. What it comes down to when people make that complaint is they are basically saying they want him to make a 'normal' film but that would essentially be no different than a majority of directors out there.

He should keep his individual style and if he wants to keep working with a great actor as Depp I see no problem. He obviously trusts Depp to be able to fall/disappear into these roles like a lot of us Depp fans so when it comes to watching their team up films I don't always see Johnny Depp the entire time for most of them.

Exactly. Complaining about something like this is nonsense. Odds are these individuals have a problem with Burton and Depp themselves and not about their team up.

Just watched the trailer... pure awesomeness. Now I want to draw the Cheshire cat

Has anyone ripped the trailer? I haven't been able to find it for download anywhere.
