Depp's character is from Liverpool; has there been any talk of what accent he will be using in the movie?

I'm not all that familiar with the TV series but I don't think Jonathan Frid had a liverpudlian accent. Plus Barnabas grew up in the states.

Also, those pictures are great. Michelle is looking flawless. :hrt:

I have to agree, I fell in love with her in Casino Royale but she looks fantastic as a blond in this, really looking forward to this as I am a big Burton film fan.

Yep. I usually don't like when brunettes and girls with darker hair try to go blonde, but Eva Green looks stunning in this movie.

I don't get where Barnabas is from Liverpool. His family were colonial aristocracy in northern Maine. He was born around the time of the American Revolution. In the show, when Barnabas shows up with ancient family treasures that were buried with him, his excuse was he is a descendant of the original Barnabas Collins (himself) who "moved to London" in 1798 or something like that. Maybe his excuse is now Liverpool? I don't know, but the character is an American aristocrat with loose ties to British nobility in the show.

From the synopsis, Barnabas' parents in 1752 decided to move from Liverpool to America to start a new life when Barnabas was a kid but there's no mention if the Collins family has been established there already or not by Isaac Collins, but since the town is still called Collinsport I can assume it is, either that or they change so Barnabas' parents were the one that founded the town. Nevertheless Barnabas did spent most of his life in Collinsport so there's no need for a British accent.

Also, Eva Green looks amazing as a blonde. Just wow.

Forget about Eva's hair; I want my hair to look like Michelle's. :yay:

Michelle and Eva looks gorgeous as usual.

And I'll be banging the Beetlejuice 2 drum so Keaton and Burton can work together.

This movie will only be good if Barnabas walks around with a dead bird on his head.

It's been greenlit with Burton attached, and Keaton and Davis are interested.

I know that both are totally up for it. But as far as it being greenlit I didn't know that. Are both commited contractually?

I believe Burton is, Keaton and Davis have just shown interest. I totally see Burton using Keaton though.

Well that's very likely given how much Keaton wants to return to the role as he's been saying for years.

I just wonder how they'd go about the make-up, now that its been a good 20+ years since the original. Maybe make Beetlejuice a bit more decayed-looking or something like that...

Yes, but not too much CG on the Netherworld if they use it again.

This webiste now links live to Warner Bros. The first time it has done so and if my experience with Nolan's Batman has told me anything, it is that it usually means the website should go up in the next few days.

Or am I completely wrong?

Nothing to do at this point but hoping but that seems to be a good indicator, the Brazilian site that posted the pictures mentioned in the article that a trailer is suppose to come out within a few days, it's not really much to go on but hopefully we'll get something else besides more pictures.

Want. Trailer. NOW!!!!!!

*flips over table*

:cmad::cmad::cmad: ............ :csad:

I'm a lot more optimistic about Frankenweenie than this. Based on the trailer for that, that looks like the return of "old school Burton," with the macabre humor and manic, almost subversive wit of Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, and his previous animated films. Meanwhile, I posted a month ago to say, "Oh, I'm not that worried that there hasn't been a trailer because of this, this, and this, so it doesn't mean the movie's awful." And now it's a month later and I'm feeling like if a trailer doesn't come out in the next week, we're almost certainly looking a pushback, and that wouldn't seem to bode well.
