Thanks!
I'd love to see beast boy.
Wonder how they would do his powers.

Hopefully:woot:

Really hope they stay away from the leather look for the costumes in this show.

sure!

I'm eager to see who they cast as BB and how they do his powers.

hope it won't suffer from the "tv show" budget.

same with Raven's powers.

Raven feels easy; give her the cartoon's power set of telekinetics and teleportation via shadow powers. Sylar was using the former in Heroes, and the latter's not that difficult.

Beast Boy... I feel that will depend on the budget. I'd love it if they actually had him fully transform into animals, but I could see a cheaper director giving him more Vixen and Animal Man style powers.

And a part of me hopes that Dick's transition from Robin to Nightwing may be followed by succeeding Robins making appearances.

yes, I hope Raven's power set is closer to the cartoon's portrayal.

I find her powers in the comics are portrayed somewhat arbitrarily.

as for BB, if they don't want to do full transformation, then maybe just transform certain body parts during attacks. or something. and save the full transformations for the finale or key moments.

I'm not sure if I want other Robins appearing, though. I would rather they introduce other teammates like Blue Beetle, Cassie Wonder Girl, Aqua Lad, Kid Flash, etc.

Wonder what kind of budget this show will have.

Also curious about what sort of overall tone they'll go for with this and if the original animated series will influence it at all.

I hope it draws influence from the original animated show, and then do its own thing of course.

as long as it doesn't draw influence from Teen Titans Go........lol.

This isn't a network exclusive like most are, so they should have enough liberties to do whatever. Also, I'm pretty sure they're just finishing/fine-tuning what TNT rejected and releasing that to the masses.

I'm just hoping that this is an overall upgrade from DC's network tv affair (Arrow/Flash/ Supergirl/ Gotham etc.) I really think if done right this could be their Daredevil. But Berlanti being behind this doesn't invoke confidence...

The character lineup for TNT's Titans was significantly different than what we're getting here, so it's not just a simple "recycling" of the concept even though Akiva Goldsman is/was involved in both projects.

I don't know about significantly different. Hawk & Dove are supposedly sticking around, while there's currently no sign of Oracle. Beast Boy has yet to be officially announced or cast. I'm thinking they've reworked the TNT pilot otherwise they wasted time & resources on something they're still intending to get out via a different platform.

Where did you get this idea from?

The only characters we have confirmed for this show are Dick, Kori, Raven, and Gar (who was not going to be involved in the TNT series at all).

^ I had not seen that link, but would treat its contents with immense skepticism.

^ I didn't see that one.

so perhaps then we will see him start as Robin.

regardless, I'm just excited for this series and can't wait for it.

just hope there will be some "free tier" option to watch the episodes without having to subscribe to an entire service for one show.

I also wonder if we will actually see Bruce Wayne/Batman or if he will just be mentioned/alluded to.

Hoping they can use Deathstroke, too, since I always associate him with the Titans.

would love if they adapted the Judas Contract storyline for season 2 perhaps. With a live action series, they could push the boundaries a bit more compared to an animated film.

In the comics, he features a lot in the story where Grayson becomes Nightwing, both in flashbacks where they show his past and in the present as the main villain. In the story, Deathstroke is presented as someone Grayson could have potentially turned out like if circumstances had been different and if he had different people around him (it should be noted that Slades ego played a big part in him ending up how he is too). Deathstroke offers a good look at how even heroic individuals can go down a dark path under certain circumstances and how important people in your life are at influencing who you become.

Grayson mentions his parents, Batman, Superman and Starfire as people who all had a positive influence on him, and in Batman and Starfires case, stood by him during difficult times. He mentions how they all played a big part in making him who he is. In the same story, we learn through flashbacks that Slade had no family. He was betrayed several times by the army, who he lived for and was willing to give his life for, and him and his friend were almost killed because of this. This is very different to how Bruce treated Dick, as he would never have betrayed Dick like the army did Slade, as he cared for him deeply. Unlike Starfire, who stood by Grayson during difficult times when he was with the Titans, Slades wife left him (she was right to), which played a big part in making him such a cold individual. His close friend Wintergreen was all he had left. He didn't even become a villain or target heroes until his son died, whom he wanted to honour (another similarity he has with Dick, as well as Bruce) by completing his sons contract with an organisation called H.I.V.E, which was to capture the Teen Titans.

It would be nice to see that part of The Judas Contract storyline be adapted if they ever decide to tell that story.

thanks so much!

I'm not much of a comic reader, so I didn't know all those details.

but that just reinforces my feelings that Deathstroke is closely tied to the Titans ( and Grayson ). so now I really want him to be part of the Titans show.

that's where he should be. not on Green Arrow.

it would be like a Batman show that doesn't feature Joker, who is instead a villain on Smallville.

I'd love for season 1 of Titans to focus on Raven and Trigon as the central focus, but then setup the Judas Contract for Season 2.

Alan Ritchinson confirmed to play Hawk: http://deadline.com/2017/09/titans-alan-ritchson-hawk-dc-live-action-series-1202163748/

EXCLUSIVE: Alan Ritchson is set as Hawk in the new live-action series Titans, from Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros TV, which is slated to premiere in 2018 as part of the inaugural slate of a new DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service.

Ritchson will play Hawk (aka Hank Hall), one-half of the crime-fighting, vigilante and romantic couple of Hawk and Dove. The perfect example of opposites attract, Hawk is an aggressive, offensive bruiser while Dove is strategic, defensive and lithe. The role is recurring, with an option to become a regular in Season 2. I hear the producers also are exploring a potential Hawk and Dove spinoff series down the road.

I'm going to be so annoyed if this show doesnt add Donna or Cassie.

But it will be interesting to see how they adapt the Hawk/Dove costumes.

Well, the casting news are coming thick and fast. Ritchson was always fancast as Shazam around these parts so good for him for landing a DC character again.

so that Hawk and Dove rumor last week was true!!

Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly Cast as Hawk and Dove - http://www.superherohype.com/news/4...nka-kelly-cast-as-hawk-and-dove-in-dcs-titans

funny enough, I've been watching through the whole Smallville series, and there's Aquaman!! :woot:

My interest in this show is slowly but surely diminishing! Give me some teen characters to keep Raven company dammit (other than the inevitable Beast Boy casting).

I take it Dove has been female for awhile and it's just me not really following DC that makes me think of Don Hall?
