Titans Titans General Discussion Thread

I have had it with these m************ f-bombs in this m************ show!

Where does it confirm anything about comics?

I spend $20-$30 per week on comic books. If new comics were included as part of this membership, that would be amazing.

There's a difference between comics being included and new comics being included. They can say that they're including comics all they want, but they could just throw an old ****** library into it.

I don't mind if they might wait 6-12months or whatever between physical release and digital release here, as long as they throw in their entire library that's available. I don't mind reading all the old stuff in the meantime.

Wait what? Any link to set pics?

It's rumored that Jason Todd and Dick Grayson are both going to be in this show! It makes sense that Jason would show up considering this show will deal with Dick becoming Nightwing

I doubt it, Inhumans had a big budget and it was screened in IMAX theaters and was aired on a major network (ABC), this is for streaming.

And Inhumans had fairly recognizable actors.

So you're saying Titans will be even worse?

Eh, the only real backlash they've had was some set pictures of Starfire, which we still don't have any context for. Robin's costume got approval, Hawk and Dove's got approval, and the general perception of the show is as a more comic book friendly series than Inhumans (we're getting Doom Patrol, for goodness sake!).

Starfire, if that is her final look, may very well be a full fledged misfire in design, but Inhumans was fighting an uphill battle from its premise alone, and only got aggravated by the attempt to "de-comic" the aesthetic of the characters.

Quite the opposite, Inhumans had big budget, well known Cast and the fact that it was going to be screened in IMAX, had a major network (ABC) that was airing the show raised the expectations dramatically, (to say nothing about the fact that Kevin Feige had preferred that it be converted into a series format instead of making a movie, which was the earlier plan) made it's failure more pronounced and dramatic.

Even if Titains fails (I doubt it), it would never be as spectacular failure as Inhumans. How can it be worse ? Is it even possible ? It a series that going to be shown on new DC Streaming service, which is newbie streaming compared to the established Netflix.

It could be a failure. the biggest names appear to guest stars Minka Kelly and Alan Ritchson. I don't know if you could call it as bad as the inhumans. but I would rather they show at least the first episode on theCW for sure

It is weird that they arent showing anything that SDCC. They are basically done with the season so they have no plenty of footage.q

Could be anything but seems like if its a blowout on the service they'd include a preview of Titans.
