I was talking about the pic of Ether on the same steps as Henry...I believe it's the church steps. I swear I've seen that photo months ago on another site

I think one thing that we can all agree on is that we just want some new photos to see period from the film since these frequent drought periods are becoming such a pain in the ass for us all.

Normally, these drought periods are expected but considering that our situation is rather unique where we had expected to see this film released in Winter 2012, only for it to change dates midway in production, thus putting a abrupt end/halt to what was supposed to come our way a long time ago didn't make things easier for us.

Early word of mouth for Pacific Rim has been pretty darn good though. With that said so was Green Lanterns and we all know how that turned out...then again Rian Johnson was the one who was praising PR and GL never had someone of his status give us early word.

Personally I'm looking forward to Pacific Rim as it has the potential to open up a whole new avenue for both mech and anime/manga inspired films. I digress.

Hopefully the marketing for MoS ramps up soon. I'm personally not to worried.

I will more than likely check out Pacific Rim after I send a reliable friend to see it. I'm not concerned about Man of Steel's marketing either. I have faith they will ramp it up...I'm marketing for them like crazy!

Indeed; but thankfully for some of our sanity here, the film is anyway coming out within 4 months from now, and considering that we've made it this far, I think we can manage, especially with us getting more stuff gradually down the line.

I think Dark Justice would be a good name for it....but I also like Dark Universe

I have every faith the MOS marketing will ramp up soon.

WB has too much to lose. They didn't profit nearly as much as they thought they would from SR, and TDK/TDKR/Avengers has shown them what potential profits are there when a massive franchise (and Superman could be one of THE most massive) is handled properly. A new cinematic take on Superman has been a long time coming and I'm sure they want to get it right as much as we want them to.

Give fans too much info too early, and you risk tainting expectation for the film or saturating the potential audience. Give them too little and you risk not appealing enough to casual viewers who need that extra shove to go and see something like MOS.

We've had a few official shots slowly leaked out, but you can see things starting to accelerate slightly with the toy & merchandise shots, pre-pics of official film books and more info starting to come to light. Have faith

The flip side of that argument is that, really, he has no power over them. Fanboys cause that effect themselves by anxiously obsessing over every bit of news which might get leaked their way. The rest of us who aren't so obsessed don't really care when Ether posts the pics, thus the whole power trip thing is just perception.

Let's be real, dude. Most of us are pretty obsessed with this stuff. We're passionate about superheroes. We make thousands of posts here that anticipate and analyze the creation/release of these films. Most Hypesters visit these forums on a daily basis.

What happened here is the equivalent of walking into a crack house and saying, "Hey, guys! I've got one crack rock for you to share today, but I'll be back tomorrow with a lot more! I want you guys to get excited!" When Mr. Crack Rock doesn't show up for a few days, people get restless. That's all it is.

The most rational thing to do is to just post the pics when you're ready or have time, rather than giving people a 'heads up' that you will have time soon. Luckily, the MOS boards aren't exactly as booming with business as the Batboards historically were. Otherwise, there'd be a lot more upset people around here.
