There are reports of a scene of the Joker in a body bag faking his death. This has “allegedly” upset some of the people who have screened the movie do to Ledgers death. Would this scene bother you?

Nope, don't cut, this is the Joker, not Heath Ledger.

Absolutely do NOT cut it.

Does WB frequent these boards? I heard somewhere that they do...

This is becoming sooooo ridiculous. Stop paying attention to this BS rumor. WB said back a few day after Heath Ledger died that the Joker character was connected to life and death and that they wouldn't cut anything for Heath Ledger's work since it was his final performance.

Do not cut it out. If they do I will be pissed! :cmad:

If this supposed scene is cut, then I'll just come to the conclusion that people are pansies. It's just a movie!

Everyone dies eventually. People need to buck up and face the facts.

the mainstream has to remember that this particular performance by Heath is no good guy. He's anything but.

I want all of the Heath's performance as the Joker to stay in the film.

If they do cut it, or any sequence with Heath in for that matter, they should do it for story reasons, and not to avoid offending anyone. Saying that, I'm a firm believer Heath's complete performance should remain, as an everlasting tribute to an amazing young actor, lost far too soon.

Just to add my two cents:

I loved Heath about as much as a person who never met him could love the man, and his death hurt me quite badly. But having said that, I hope they do NOT cut ONE SINGLE SCENE from that movie that was meant to be there, because despite the awkwardness that such scenes might have on the viewer, I think it would be a shame if anything at all in the film were changed because of Heath's passing. I suspect Heath himself would not have wanted that, and to tell the truth I think that if there is another realm Heath would be laughing his striped socks off at the irony of it all. The man had a sense of wit and humor, you know.

I find it stupid to cut out the scene. I'm so sick of oversensitive cry babies who need to wake up to reality and realize death is part of life...it's going to happen at some point. "Oh No!! He came out of a body bag in a film he made before he died!!"

I'm not worried in the slightest that it will be cut, Nolan said already that he will be keeping his performance as is out of respect.

Do not cut it. I honestly don't think Heath would want it cut.

Hell no! The movie should represent Nolan's vision from start to finish. There's no need to be discreet. No compromising cuts whatsoever. I can honestly say that when the movie starts, death of Ledger means nothing to me. I'm not trying to be rude but the movie is all that matters. And I'm pretty sure that Ledger felt the same way while portraying The Joker.

As would any real artist.

Not to sound like too much of a cynic...does anybody really think, from a business standpoint, WB would really cut a scene as polarizing and controversial as Ledger's Joker in a body bag? To clarify, I'm not saying that WB is a bunch of emotionless drones, but it's something to think about.

To cut this would upset a good deal of the fans they've specifically targeted with their viral marketing and would isolate a lot of people who have invested a lot of time in the hype leading up to this movie. If this rumored scene is in fact at risk of hitting the chopping block, I'm sure the studio would run it by Ledger's family first - and they've unequivocally said they want this body of work to stand by itself in its current form.

They have too much to lose if they cut it and any bad press that Nolan, WB, or the rest of those involved in the movie's release would receive will be far outweighed by what they have to gain by keeping it in.
