Yea i mean, I know it was in a different time with less available movie news, but no one knew Spacey was John Doe in Se7en until he revealed himself on screen.

It's much harder to keep secrets these days obviously, but it is possible.

The longer they take to reveal the casting the more and more I start to think sam may not in fact be crazy

When a studio is in doubt just cast Benedict Cumberbatch since he is fan cast in everything anyway

I always wanted Jeremy Irons or someone like that for Thanos. With an arrogant well spoken voice. Obviously modulated digitally.

Is the dude who played Thanos in the mid-credit scene not at all a capable actor?

Can't really judge acting from a commercial meant to be cheesy

I didn't even know there was an actual actor playing Thanos in that scene, I thought it was entirely CGI.

I think they just used him for that shot of his hand on the throne before he stands up. I hope they change that though. I'm not sure if I'm in the minority on this but I don't want a slimmed down Thanos. I want those tree trunk legs and build like in the comics. When I saw that his hand in that shot was the size of a human hand, I was a little annoyed.

I agree 100% with you on this. Thanos' skinny pinkish hand bothered me a lot. I want those purple sausages fingers.

I haven't ever really noticed to care. Doubt many others have either. Shouldn't really be a complaint since it was just a cameo to set up the character.

Doesn't mean they're going with a slimmer/smaller Thanos.

"It's fair to say that one steps out on its own first. We spend a tiny bit of time on Earth, but 98% of the movie is in a section of the galaxy we've never seen. But if you keep your eyes open, in some Easter egg-y ways and some very overt ways it is very clearly the same universe that the other movies inhabit – in very big ways. There's a certain purple guy that smirked at the end of Avengers that makes an appearance. So in that way it continues to build on the broader MCU mythology, but certainly the whole idea behind Guardians was – which is kind of the idea behind every movie we try to make nowadays – 'Let's do something unique. Let's do something different.'"

A little more clarification, if anybody really needed it.

Judge for yourself ..... :oldrazz:

Yeah a commercial isn't the best material for judging acting ability for a serious role. I mean check out this old commercial.

Per a new CBM article, Thanos is "the head of the snake" and is CGI.

Best route to go, imo. Can't wait to see what the final product is.

So we can assume they just hired some mocap actor to do Thanos' scenes and it won't be the actual actor, he'll just do the voice. I'm cool with that.

Best way to go. Make him as big as the Hulk too.

Thanos should be bulky, but not that large. Usually he looks weird when he's drawn Hulk-sized. Best to go for his Infinity Gauntlet physique:

Not much taller than Cap, just bulkier. The focus shouldn't be on Thanos' physical strength, but on his intelligence. You'll notice that, even though he's a powerful combatant as well, he mostly beats people by outsmarting them.
