Tom Hardy as the Kray twins in "Legend"

Pretty sure all it takes is a puppy to obliterate Hardy's tough guy persona.

Yep.

Now hopefully, unlike Child 44, this actually, ya know, plays somewhere.

That looks awesome.

I'm curious... if an actor plays two different roles in a movie, can he be nominated for two separate Oscars? Has that ever happened?

I mean, if you think about it, it's fair. The actor is essentially creating two different characters.

LOL, it's the amalgamation of Absorbing Dad and Crusher Creel.

Looks like a killer year for Tom Hardy between this, Child 44, Mad Max and The Revenant. Even though Child 44 bombed critically and commercially, he still managed to get huge praise.

This looks great. I expect a lot of c-words lol. Only just realized that this is directed by the guy who did LA Confidential... which is one of the greatest films ever as far as i'm concerned. This could be something special.

I was not aware of this film. It looks fantastic. Goddamn. I hope that Hardy uses all these films momentum and eventually is nominated for The Revenant and wins.

This looks outstanding!

But the real question is: If he gets nominated for Best Actor, which Tom Hardy will get the nomination?

I wish it was called 'LegendS'.

Yeah, my only complaint about this film so far is the title. It's really vague and generic (not to mention it's been used before for a very different movie). I think they could have come up with something more engaging. This clearly isn't a movie that's going to make $100m+ at the box office anyway, so why not give it a more fitting title?

Probably not (and it's a good thing, because Tom Hardy would lose after splitting the vote between him and himself). If that was the case, logically speaking you could then have multiple actors in a group being nominated as one person for playing the same character (i.e. I'm Not Here, Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, a theoretical Dr. Who movie, etc.).

Come on guys, we all know that the title should have been "This ***** Kray" right?

And how I wish they would have messed around with the movie's publicity by saying that the other Kray twin was played by Tom's twin brother, Tim.

Two Hardys in real life? The mere thought would give women and gay men around the world fatal heart attacks.

Haha, yeah you're absolutely right about that.

But with respect, the kray twins are two different people. To portray them properly, is to portray them differently.

It's like Christopher Reeve and Superman/Clark Kent in Metropolis and Clark Kent on the farm. 3 different characters.

It opens up a can of worms, maybe, but sure why not - if Hardy puts out a great performance and you definitely see two characters on screen, then why not?

THe twins were friends with Charlie Bronson. :oldrazz:

This looks fantastic. Everyone else is paying attention to that Depp gangster flick, but I bet this will be better.

Even in this trailer you can see Hardy bringing a different physicality to each character. He is pretty much the best choice for this kind of thing.
