5). Watchmen: Directors Cut.
6). The Hangover.
7). Hurt Locker.
8). Terminator Salvation (Only because of Worthington and Yelchin)
9).Funny People.
10). I Love You, Man.

Star Trek is certainly the best. I don't have the rest of the list yet.

Quite a few changes of position and some new films I've seen.

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. Moon
3. Un Prophete
4. District 9
5. Goodbye Solo
6. (500) Days Of Summer
7. Star Trek
8. In The Loop
9. Up
10. The Hurt Locker

I can say with a lot of confidence that Moon, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds and Hangover will all appear on my top 10. District 9, Star Trek, and Watchmen are in contention, but it'll depend on the rest of the year.

OK, let's try this again.

1. District 9.

2. Inglourious basterds.

3. Star Trek.

4. The Hurt Locker.

5. Ponyo.

6. Up.

7. I love you, man.

8. The Hangover.

That's all I got so far, but I still have to see Moon, Thirst and Jacques Audiard's un Prophete.

1. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
2. Watchmen
3. Star Trek
4. The Hangover
5. District 9
6. Observe And Report
7. Drag Me To Hell
8. Monsters VS Aliens
9. Inglorious Basterds
10. Funny People

1. Doubt
2. Slumdog Millionaire
3. Mary and Max
4. Young Victoria
5. Star Trek
6. District 9
7. Inglouris Basterds
8. Ponyo
9. Up
10. Harry Potter and the half blood prince.

It's been a fantastic year for mainstream film.

I know some of these are actually 2008 films, but all the films on my list were released this year here in Holland.

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. Gran Torino
3. Låt den rätte komma in
4. Public Enemies
5. The Wrestler
6. Synecdoche, New York
7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
8. Gomorra
9. Il Divo
10. Watchmen

A pretty mediocre year if you ask me. But then again, the only horrible movie this year is Watchmen. But the only really, really great movie this year is Inglourious Basterds, which is so good that it kinda makes up for the rest though.

I wouldn't call Watchmen horrible but extremely flawed. Given how stupid most sci-fi, superhero and summer movies have become, especially this year, Watchmen is a breath of fresh air. I think Stephen King said it best in that it was overly faithful, overly ambitious and too long. But it was quite a spectacle and that ambition made it something to behold at least once (or for fans a few more times on Blu-ray). And I can't help but notice a lot of your listed movies were 2008 movies with Gran Torino, Benjamin Button and Wreslter.

Anyway, the only 2009 movies that I thought were worth mentioning revised:

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. District 9
3. Star Trek
4. The Hurt Locker
5. Watchmen

It saddens me that 3 of those are geek movies (Basterds don't count, Basterds=awesome movie), but hopefully that will change.

Live-action:
1. Star Trek
2. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
4. Angels & Demons
5. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
6. G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra
7. Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen
8. Drag Me To Hell

Animated:
1. Green Lantern: First Flight
2. Wonder Woman
3. Hulk Vs.
4. Superman Batman: Public Enemies

Still to see:
Terminator Salvation, Avatar, District 9

4. Harry Potter & THBP
5. Public Enemies

Unfortunately I missed UP.

I absolutely HATED Star Trek and Inglorious Basterds (which I finally saw yesterday)
