I have a feeling that's what my final Top 10 is going to look like for the year, unless "Avatar" really impresses the hell out of me.

im going to wait after seeing AVATAR to make my final list

I'm waiting until I see Avatar, Harry Brown, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Thirst and Where The Wild things Are before I make my final list.

I only really see Avatar making the list change, and even that's a little iffy. Seriously hope it's going to be good.

What a year though. When great films like Inglourious Basterds, District 9, and the three DCAU films can't make it on the list, that's one impressive year.

Hurm, I can't decide if "Where the Wild Things Are" takes Inglourious Basterds" top spot yet...I'll wait until later in the season when the "Oscar" movies have come out.

Still looking forward to Avatar, Fantastic Mr Fox, 9 (animated) and Christmas Carol.

These are my top films of the year.. my top 5.

- The Hurt Locker
- Drag Me To Hell
- Watchmen
- Public Enemies
- Wolverine

I Love You, Man, Fast and Furious and Harry Potter Half Blood Prince are worth mentioning 'cos I liked them but not enough to put in a top 10. Which is a shame for Harry Potter as it normally makes it, however this time it was good but also disappointing.

Worst films so far:
Push, Friday the 13th, Knowing, Angels and Demons, Terminator Salvation (ok..ish), Transformers 2 (looked good but was pants), Surrogates..

anyone going to change your list after AVATAR & Holmes comes out?

Yeah, Sherlock Holmes is going to drive some last minute revisions into the mix for the end of the year. I've heard it's really good.

In fact... I'll throw a top nine together and say Sherlock Holmes should be in there somewhere.

Avatar
Watchmen
District 9
Up!
Slumdog Millionaire
Bolt
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Star Trek (2009)
Where the Wild Things Are

Strange. Looking at the list this year there is not a whole lot of big screen features of a high calibre in the drama or art house area that I've seen. I normally have a much heavier slant towards those.

My Sister's Keeper didn't really fly and Amelia had as much take off speed as a fence post. Revolutionary Road almost edges into my top ten.

I've finally, a little over two weeks before the year ends, seen 10 movies that would stand a chance of making the year-end list. Here's version 1.

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. The Hurt Locker
3. The Hangover
4. The Informant!
5. Up
6. A Serious Man
7. Star Trek
8. Moon
9. Zombieland
10. Funny People

I'll come back after December. Too many movies to see right now (An Education, The Road, Avatar, Brothers, Up in the Air and Nine) to give a good answer. Right now it goes Inglourious Basterds, The Hurt Locker and District 9 being the only three that I've seen having a shot of staying there.

ill make a list where it shows what films that came out this year ive seen and what will be my top 10 films of 09

I'm really looking forward to that.
