Top 10 films of 2012

1- Holy Motors
2- Killing Them Softly
3 -Blood of my Blood
Killer Joe
Haywire
TDKR
Cloud Atlas
Hugo (it opened in 2012 here!)
The Master
From Up on the Poppy Hill and Looper

I didnt catch some stuff (specially european) , that probably would go to the top 10. That's why these listing are usually a little iffy. But these 11 are definitely the ones i enjoyed the most . It was a good year (except Asia , with a bunch of disappointments)

Now that have seen most of 2012 films I can now formulate and actual top 10 instead of projected list

1 Avengers

the-avengers.jpg

It was just an amazing fun ride and Joss was back and made this movie work when it could have been very bad.

2 The Dark Knight Rises
6a88872c.jpg

Truth be told I liked this better then TDK but then again I liked Batman Begins still. While I do think 4 movies would have been a better idea in the saga instead of 3.NOlans chapter ended well and it was a powerful film

3 The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey

The-Hobbit-Dishes-Dragonlord-1.jpg

I very much expected to have this at number 1 while it still is a very good movie. Just not quite Rings and for me its just not better then the first 2 on my list. Maybe after I see it on DVD multiple times I will change my mind

4 Rise Of The Guardians

Rise-Of-The-Guardians-Poster_zps669aae5e.jpg

I am sad not enough people made this a hit boggles my mind for I loved this movie

5 The Grey

The-Grey_zps4eb57fa2.jpg

Wonderful great movie. Kinda reminded me of a movie called The Edge with Hopkins only its about a man wanting to die but in the end fight to live.

6 Skyfall

Skyfall.jpg

Finally Bond was back and this time braught a New Q and Moneypenny
While Its true I prefer Brosnan over Craig as Bond. You cannot deny that Craig as Bond has made great movies.

7 Lincoln

Great Movie and I am sure it will win Oscar for best picture. Its what the Academy goes for really

8 The Amazing Spider-Man
amazing_spiderman.jpg

Was so sure I would hate this movie but it ended up being pretty good actuallys. Its not Spider-Man 1 but i did like how they took there time having Peter master his powers and made him smarter in this movie.

9 MIB 3
51152078.jpg

Brolin as Young K made this movie good really and the movie was allot better then MIB2

10 Snow White And The Huntsmen
snow_white_and_the_huntsman_movie_poster_1.jpg

Iam guessing the twilight fans will see this as a bad movie because of the scandle but if you don't care like me what actors do at home. Then you can just enjoy a movie and I did.

Nice.

I've only got three more to see: Django Unchained, Zero Dark Thirty, and This Is 40. I would have seen Django tonight but there's a snowstorm where I am. I'm sure at least one of them will make my Top 10. Hopefully I'll see them all within a week.

Zero Dark Thirty
Argo
Chronicle

Some of these lists are just laughable. You guy's wouldn't know a good movie if it hit you in the face. :doh:

Dark Knight Rises
Django Unchained
Bullhead
Safety Not Guaranteed
Once Upon a Time in Anatolia
Robot and Frank
The Master
Holy Motors
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Wild Bill
Cabin in The Woods
Amour

All the people putting The Grey at Number 1 should stop watching movies. You clearly don't comprehend them.

There's always someone who thinks their opinion is somehow magically better than everyone else's. Seek counseling, that's my advice.

Some of these lists are just laughable. You guy's wouldn't know a good movie if it hit you in the face. :doh:

And you wouldn't know proper manners if it hit you in the face....so take a couple of months off instead.

4.) Django Unchained
5.) The Dark Knight Rises
6.) Killing Them Softly

I saw Bullhead yesterday. Such a fantastic movie. Its a shame some movies cant get the same sort of publicity than hollywood productions (the crappy ones) . This has been a very good year for worldwide cinema.

I didn't see enough films to really have a top film, so I'll go with a top 8...leaving out The Amazing Spider-Man {3.5/5}, Ted {4/5}, Project X {1/5}, Man on a Ledge {2/5}, Act of Valor {3/5}, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vegeance {2/5}.

#8: The Dark Knight Rises {4/5}
"Despite a few flaws, a satisfying conclusion to a magnificent, blockbuster saga with many Oscar-worthy performances and breath-taking visuals!"

#7: The Avengers {4.5/5}
"A cinematic acheivement! A film that is the soul reason I go to the movies! Brilliant casting, writing, and directing!"

#6: Skyfall {4.5/5}
"Yes, this was my first Bond film. And yes, my mind was blown away, from the cinematography, to the acting, to the wonderful chemistry!"

#5: The Cabin in the Woods {4.5/5}
"A hilarious, gruesome deconstruction of the horror-film genre. A smart script matches its intelligent, sarcastic tone!"

#4: Safety Not Guarenteed {4.5/5}
"A very indy feeling movie that's characters are some of the most well written of the year. The script kept me invested until the credits began rolling. And when they did, I recouped from the fact that my mind had been blown like never before!"

#3: Dredd 3D {4.5/5}
"Fully aware of its comic book-y roots, Dredd is the perfect example of a full on, balls to the wall, raw, over the top comic book film that has more to its story and characters than one might expect!"

(Numbers 2 and 1 could be interchangable...)

#2: Lincoln {5/5}
"One of the greatest cinematic masterpieces this year! Each scene is masterfully directed, and the acting tops every film this year!"

#1: Argo {5/5}
"I knew the ending. So why was I on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film? And why did I have fun doing so? Because the directing, acting, and writing are absolutely fantastic!"

Now to kick off next year with Ganster Squad, The Last Stand, and Parker! (One looks good, 2 look mediocre, guess which...)
