Top 3,5 or ? DC villain portrayals in film/tv ! Why so serious or kneel before Zod?

DC's villains are awesome.

Tru dat ! The only good villain in recent Marvel films has been Loki
(which is why they throw him in so often), Hiddleston owns that role.
I think he gets better with each appearance.

Having said that, I highly rate Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto (at least as
good as Hiddleston if not better), Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, and the vastly underrated Alfred Molina as Dr. Octopus (which was a tough role
to pull off) sadly, after that Spider Man villains started phoning in their
performances.

The lamest villain performance has to be Doctor Doom from the Fantastic Four movies, yawn !
Some real quality actors have surprisingly put in very average performances as Marvel villains.:
The great Hugo Weaving wasn't a great red skull, Tim Roth had good moments in Incredible Hulk - but somehow didn't particularly shine in the role. Kevin Bacon, Liev Schreiber, Rhys Ifhans and Christopher Eccleston are all solid perfomers, but don't seem to be given much to work with.

But that's just IMO - I'm sure someone will prove me wrong soon enough.

I don't really count Catwoman as a villain, so she's not on any villain's list of mine. I do LOVE Anne Hathaway's performance, that much is true.
