Wow, quite the twist and turns from the comic indeed. I have to say I didn't foresee one of the twist . The other one well let's just say it was clear from part one that is where all roads lead.

Props to the voice cast, particularly Jensen, Josh, Naya & Titus.

Btw there's a post credit scene that establishes that this is definitely in the new DC's animated world....

    Just finished it.

Lots of deviations from the source material, but I think overall enjoyed it. Maybe it’s just because it’s new content that I’m liking it, but I think it largely stuck the landing even if when it strayed from Loeb’s original story. It was a Batman mystery with plenty of characters and connections to Batman’s lore.

As far as adaptations go, I wouldn’t have minded a 2 hour live-action version of this script. Penguin felt very tacked on, which is probably why they just had Dastmalchian voice him too, so I would have probably cut him & given the extra lines to Hatter or Scarecrow.

Rest In Peace Naya Rivera. I thought Catwoman was great in this and I’d be fairly shocked if we don’t see more of her in this new DCAU given the way the story unfolds, so we’ll who they call up. Has Rosario Dawson done Catwoman yet? While we’re at it, let’s recast Gordon. The rest of the cast was fine, and I’m excited to hear Ackles in more Batman appearances (hopefully).

So thus far we have Superman (Criss), Batman (Ackles), Wonder Woman (Katic), and Flash (Bomer). Wondering who else we’ll get for the team—which Green Lantern will pop up?

I enjoyed this about as much as Part 1, although it definitely felt like it had a bit more edge with the R-rating and some of the violence actually looking pretty brutal at times.

I really loved spending time in this world and honestly I would not have minded a whole new Batman show with this style of animation eventhough I know some aren't big fans of it.

I'm going to miss Naya Rivera as Catwomen, because I thought she did a great job voicing the character, but once again Josh Duhamel stole show for here as Two-Face.

I never knew he had it in him, but I loved his voice and hopefully we see more of him going forward aswell as Jensen Ackles as Batman and Bruce Wayne.

Was really impressed with Duhamel’s Two Face, really gave me Richard Moll vibes!

Just caught this today, and I have to say I quite liked it overall. It certainly strayed from the original comic but even with the deviations from the spruce material I still felt this was overall faithful to the spirit of the original text. Very pleased to see they kept the identity of the killer the same as the comic. I thought for sure, they were going to pull a Hush or a Gotham Gashlight and alter things to shock comic readers and I do like that they have

Batman figure out it was Gilda Dent and solved the case properly. This is a change I prefer over the source material, as it makes Batman look like a more competent sleuth.
The animation style leaves a lot to be desired as it looks stilted and lifeless at points but I still dig the thriller murder mystery atmosphere the film gives you, and the voice acting is still quite top-notch. This gets a 8/10 from me.

It seems that at least Barry Allen & Oliver Queen know that Bruce Wayne is Batman since they knock on the mansion’s front door. Unless we think Bruce invited them himself and is not hiding his identity among heroes.

Batman is a character I like to hold on to his secret identity so I was a little bit disappointed that even Catwoman was aware. And that both Alberto and Carmine too—albeit right before their demise.

Just watched part 2. Beginning was confusing, Batman felt so stupid/careless. Animation at times was even worse than in part 1. This style doesn't fit action scenes at all! Voice acting was good. Story was good, though I guessed the twist at the end. Doesn't quite explain the change in physique though. Since I never read the comic, I'm curious as to what changes were made to the comic?

Three months he was enslaved by Poison Ivy, who appeared to have rape him . Then on Mother's day, he's drugged by the Scarecrow and outta sorts ...

I quite enjoyed this. Been ages since I read the comic and I'd forgot much, i.e. who Holiday actually was (thankfully). I love this story though, very classic Batman and it manages to cramp in both the mobster families conflicts AND lots of the more freakish classic Bat-villians in it, and it still works. I don't remember though what major changes were made in this adaption.

Always thought Catwoman's character was great in this story. Naya Rivera did a really good job, and I was very sad to learn that she passed away quite exactly a year ago in that tragic drowning accident. RIP. Only 33 years old, and with a four year old son. Damn it.

I was sceptic about the animation designs for the characters, since I and the rest of us of course wanted something close to Tim Sale's classic artwork. But I got used to this style after some while, and it worked quite fine for me.

Picked up art 2 yesterday. Loved it! Easily one of my favorite animated adaptions in a long long time. Sure the animation wasn't perfect, but I really really enjoyed both parts 1 and part 2. I hope Dark Victory happens.

They should go on and do Dark Victory, I enjoyed these plenty.

Bought both parts now and watched Part 1 last night. Given the new 'era' that's been re-set, this fits and works well within the original artwork for me, it's a decent adaption, keeps the main plot points in tact, (mostly) and the darkness maintains, the voice acting is solid. Gotta say I really liked it, will watch Part 2 during this week. Like others though, hadn't read the GN for many years. Hope they follow up with Dark Victory afterwards.

Just finished Part 2 this evening and whilst pretty impressive by the adaption and not having read the GN for years, it struck me how many elements of Nolan's TDK trilogy can be found across all three of his films, in this story.

Watched both of these this weekend and thought overall it was solid. I have to admit the animation style took some adjusting to me mainly because it made the characters look and feel very stilted. And not only that but the dialogue as well. There were so many pauses and beats between sentences that often dialogue between characters didnt feel fluid and natural. BUT! I got used to it and in a strange way it worked for this gothic, atmospheric noir tale.

I thought it was fine, but it has moments that made me twitch, not because of how they change from the comics I haven't read yet, but because I found them weird. How, when, and why did the start of part two happen? That came out of nowhere and left me wanting to see more of that part of the plot.

I kinda wish Tony Ruviviar (Beware the Batman) was hired to voice Batman for this story.

I just finished watching both parts in a row.

I kind of wish we got a 12 episode TV series on HBO Max instead of two DTV movies. They condensed 12 murders and a year long story into two 75 minute DTVs and the pacing just felt weird to me. None of the "holidays" had time to breathe.

I wish we had a more Tim Sale art style for this. Batman and Catwoman both look generic, like you could stick them into any DC animated movie and they would fit. Nothing wrong with them, but they just don't look and feel like the Batman and Catwoman from Long Halloween. A lot of the character designs and art in this movie has this problem.

Jason Ackles is absolutely great in this role. He fits a Long Halloween Batman from a voice acting standpoint. The guy who played Harvey is decent at playing the Two-Face scenes (even though its largely a Richard Moll impression), but he is terrible at being Harvey Dent. Gordon's voice actor is really bad and off in the role. Troy Baker is great as The Joker of course.

I do like that Batman actually figured out that Gilda was Holiday, and the big twist that she and Alberto Falcone's were a thing and that she had his kid. That made her motive a lot better then doing the murders just because she wanted Harvey to focus more on her instead of trying to clean up Gotham.

I hate that they are still trying to keep these movies in one shared universe, while still trying to adapt comic book stories.

Guess I was the only one that had ZERO problems with Billy Burke as Gordon. I thought he suited the role quite well.

The only part I would've recast if I had the choice is Troy Baker as The Joker. Been there, done that and didn't feel fresh amongst the rest of the cast.

I have no problem with any of the cast, I like them all for the roles they were cast in, but some lines made me think Anthony Ruviviar deserved to voice Batman again for this movie.

I hope he gets to voice the character again one of these days.

I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet, (too busy lately) but does part 2 live up to its R rating?

Yeah the voice acting fir Gordon was bad. They can’t figure out how to voice him, just look at Arkham Knight.

Mitch Pilleggi was good in The Batman as Gordon, bring him back.
