Toy Story 4

They could just hire a sound-alike like they did with Slinky.

Why is a bulk of this thread missing?

I might be the only person who didn't care that much for Toy Story 3. Thought it was overly sentimental instead of just being a fun movie like the first two.

It wasn't missing. We actually had 4 different Toy Story 4 threads. I merged all 4 together.

They should make this in between two of the other movies so that the ending of 3 is the last chronological event.

However, what about making movies about Andy's daughter or son and their newer toys to create new characters for a spinoff and maybe have plot lines including Andy trying to track down some of the old faithfuls. They could make him a well off computer scientist so his kid can have some rad new advanced toys and also so he can afford to pay whatever Woody and Co. cost.

Hmmm, maybe.

Who do you think they'd get to be the new Potato Head voice?

Wait, what's happening now? Why are we talking about Andy? Shouldn't they be Bonnie's toys now?

Sequel Bits: ‘Toy Story 4’, ‘Labyrinth 2’, ‘Top Gun 2’, ‘Tintin 2’, ‘Lethal Weapon 5’, ‘Jay and Silent Bob’

Remember how the ending of Toy Story 3 made you cry until your head hurt? Well, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Appearing on the BBC Radio 2 talk show “The Chris Evans Breakfast Show,” Tom Hanks talked a little about the emotional moment he recorded the Toy Story 4 finale. “It was the first time that we were going to be recording the end of the movie, and Toy Story [4] is going to have an impactful ending,” said the actor, who voices Woody in the franchise. Hanks went on to add: “The way you record Toy Story, you’re in a room with the team that has created it. When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually, you’re facing him so he can look right up and you can talk about it… But I didn’t want to see them and pretend they couldn’t see me.” Hanks comments compliment those of his co-star Tim Allen, who previously said he had trouble getting through recording the final scene because it was so emotional. In short, prepare to weep again when Toy Story 4 arrives June 21, 2019.

I * might* have gotten emotional at the end of Toy Story 3, if it hadn't been spoiled for me in a review.

Seriously, folks, never read reviews if you don't want to be spoiled.

As for what Hanks said:

I doubt they would permanently destroy Woody or Buzz, so my guess is that Andy gets married, has kids, gets his old toys back from Bonnie and Woody and the gang get passed down to a new generation. They wouldn't end the whole franchise on a tragic note.

If he's not a real toy, the why is he alive? This trailer raises so many questions.

EDIT:
First 'Toy Story 4' teaser introduces a reluctant new toy
The teaser gives a look inside Bonnie’s room and introduces the newcomer, Forky (voiced by Tony Hale), who’s described as “an actual spork-turned-craft project who insists he isn’t a toy.” But every time he tries to get away, he gets pulled into an adventure he’d rather skip.
This means that literally every single object can gain sentience if a kid turns it into a toy... the implications of this are huge. Children in the Toy Story universe are GODS.

Here's the official synopsis:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.

Is Bo Peep still gonna be in this or has that plotline been dropped?

Yeah, that whole thing with the fork is some mind screw ****.

It's like a meme waiting to happen.

I thought it felt like too much of a rehash of 2 (which I guess to be fair was already both pretty conclusive and really hard to top).

It's my least favorite of the three. Honestly the only one that I really love is the first, but that's probably because I grew up with it.

Think about it... if a kid took Woody's hat, drew eyes on it and treated it as a separate character, the hat would become sentient. That's so weird.

I hated the third one, actually, but I love the first two (the second one especially for the emotional song)

Then the implications are what if you make something a toy but refuse to give it a mouth or eyes. It's basically an invalid.
