I am assuming he means in regard to overall franchise quality. I didn't see Cars 3, but I am guessing he thought it was not up to par.
Coco and Inside Out both won Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Finding Dory grossed a billion worldwide...how in any way, shape or form is Pixar dying a slow death?

Oh, gotcha. For what its worth, as mediocre as Cars 3 was, its still miles better than Cars 2, which is still the only stain on Pixars record IMO.Not Pixar, just that particular franchise which, in my opinion, was particularly weak anyway. How they dragged it out for 3 films is beyond me.
It was just pointless sequel making at this point.
I want to see Titanic II so bad now.You are correct sir. All sequels are unnecessary. But if they advance the story of the original and can add to the story, then they become necessary.
Even a Titanic II could be a good idea with the right story.
But isn't it fair to say we didn't need Toy Story 2 or 3? Because that was the argument with both of those films. They were not necessary. Which of course none of these are, but I do think it is fascinating this seems to become the argument every time there is a Toy Story sequel coming out. And then after they come out, they feel essential for most.
t:Or just be separated again.
If it's real time Andy has to be like 30 though.
