oh, PS:

that trailer rocked SO hard! the only good thing about the dark night trailer was the joker, but everything about the hellboy 2 trailer was awesome!

i can actually imagine del toro having the tooth fairies pull the teeth out of that guy's head... maybe that's a little too R rated for the movie, but damn that would be nice!

Ah, but that's not what tooth fairies do. They're called tooth fairies because they like calcium - and they're carnivorous. Use your imagination.

I gotta say it. I love Hellboy, liked the first movie, and thought the trailer was pretty cool. But the atmosphere of the comics is what makes Hellboy so great, and its just so hard to capture that dark cooky awkwardness that makes the characters so lovable. I feel like the movies are good as movies ( I love Del Toro), but they aren't really good depictions of Hellboy. I say depictions rather than adaptations, because as an adaptation the frst movie was pretty good, but it didn't have the right feel.

I guess where I'm going with this, while I like the movie, and surely the second one, somethign always feels off. Mignola's style and writing is just too hard to replicate on screen, although I guess that isn't the point... Anyone get where I'm coming from at all??

Anybody noticed the movie theatre at the begining of the trailer, it has the (see you next wednesday) film title, which I think a tribute/nod to John Landis.

Love the new trailer, I can definitely see some PL inspiration working its way over which is great in my book. I like the new costumes on everyone (especially Abe) and the sword fighting scene looks awesome. Can't wait to see this.

Great teaser trailer, RP as Hellboy is so perfect :hellboy: Another great superhero film to watch this summer.

I'm Doug Jones' webmaster and I was on set in Budapest a couple of months ago. Saw lots of stuff, etc. including lots of the designs, scenes (two of which are in the trailer), got to know the story and hung out with some of the brilliant people who created all this magic, including a lot of the Spectral Motion guys. Incidentally, the story is an original and does not really reference the comics, although Johann's new look does come from the comics in a way.
