David was brought in to voice Abe in the first film as they wanted a 'name,' but it backfired on the studios when David refused a credit and did no press for the film, saying the part was Doug's and he didn't want to detract from that. He is a gentleman and an absolute sweetheart. A rare thing in Hollywood. So that's why you don't see his name in the credits. :D

Wow! That's crazy. Thanks for the info!

this looks very very very promising.
oh Guillermo...how i loves you so!

the Angel of Death was so badass. :wow:

Del Toro is an incredibly talented director. His shots, lighting, color palette are truly beautiful! He's a visual and creative genius.
As long as he lives we are in for some very special films.
Long Live DEL TORO!

I will say the movie looks a lot more like Hellboy than the first one did. I was disappointed with how many dumb changes they made.

Well it was green.

A closer looks at the creature makes it look more plant-like than anything.

Funny since del Toro is exactly set to adapt a Lovecraft novel in the near future.

i think there are definitely lovecraftian influences in hellboy anyway. but that is interesting. what novel? i haven't heard of this!

i really didn't give a **** about hellboy until i saw the 1st movie (on dvd mind you!) but after i saw it i thought it kicked ass...i got into the comics and i can't wait to see the next one! trailer looks awesome

it's cool when you have a GREAT director "get it"...IMO of course!!!!!!!!!!!

you are absolutely right,

del toro is a master at visuals, truly lush and amazing visuals in all his films,
in particular the Hellboy movies and in Blade 2.

I wish Del toro had done Blade 3!

Put it this way, del toro's films look much more expensive than their budgets are!

this hellboy movie is what 80 or 90 million in costs to make??

it looks awesome

Del toro sure knows how to get value for money.

It cost $72 million, which is around the same as the first one if you include inflation into your calculations. The first cost $66 million.
