I'm confused about Abe's voice. I'd heard that David Hyde-Pierce did the voice for Abe in the first movie, but I couldn't find his name anywhere in the credits.
So who's doing the voice this time?

It's actually Doug Jones doing the voice himself this time. After being overdubbed for both Sapien (in the first) and the Silver Surfer, he finally gets to add his voice to the character.

He's at the end, his suit looks different from the comics but that's him.

Amazing for a teaser, I'm looking forward to this more than The Dark Knight.

It looks like an action/adventure version of Pan's Labryinth, and a Perlman/Goss standoff with be bad-ass beyond description.

I dont understand how people can say the first movie was less than great. Its actually really 'evil' in some sequences.

But yes, this film looks grand.

2 of my favorite directors making 2 of my favorite comic book characters. Next year cannot get any better.

Johann is one of the majot characters in the story, and yes, he speaks. He is played by John Alexander and James Dodd, who have done a magnificent job of acting through a difficult suit, and he will be voiced by Thomas Kretschman. He probably hasn't done his looping session yet for the voice as the film is still being edited, but no doubt as time goes on we'll hear Johann speak.

GdT would hunt me down with the wolves of St August and rip me apart slowly and feed my innards to a hell-hound if I mentioned anything about the plot. "You can say anything you like," he said, "except about the plot." However ... hmmm ... I think it's already been said publicly elsewhere. Okay, he gets an introduction. But as to an explanation as to how he got to be ectoplasm in a bag ... you'll have to wait and see.

David was brought in to voice Abe in the first film as they wanted a 'name,' but it backfired on the studios when David refused a credit and did no press for the film, saying the part was Doug's and he didn't want to detract from that. He is a gentleman and an absolute sweetheart. A rare thing in Hollywood. So that's why you don't see his name in the credits.
