The Dark Knight Trailers with TDK

I'm confused, do they only show upcoming IMAX movies at an IMAX?

IMAX projectors run 70mm film that is 10x bigger than 35mm used in traditional theatres. Some multiplexes have a 35mm projector next to their IMAX projector and could play any preview they wanted to in theory. I don't know if any do this or not. They do play 35mm films on IMAX screens from time to time, but there is more to IMAX than the screen. If you see a preview in front of an IMAX film, its a very, very good chance that it's going to be an IMAX release. One of the reasons there are less previews on the front of IMAX films is because there are far fewer IMAX releases coming out. 10 IMAX releases in a single year would be a lot.

But that's for USA. I really hope they show these trailers also here in the Netherlands.

I'm sure this has bee speculated on other threads and such, but am not sure if it had one of its own. If so please lock and delete this thread.

I will not be seeing The Dark Knight in regular theatres. I don't care what previews are going to be seen in regular theatres. I started an IMAX specific thread because a film getting a release in IMAX is news, Getting two previews in front of TDK in IMAX is news. The thread my post was merged with is a different topic.

I'm so excited for the Watchmen teaser to possibly be attached, TDK alone gets me so pumped but to see the teaser along with TDK is the icing on the cake.

A reliable poster in "The Leaky Cauldron" stated that the teaser for HP 6 would be attached to prints of TDK. So there are only three confirmed teasers to be attached to TDK:

- Terminator Salvation
- Watchmen
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I'd think the teaser for HP 6 would air first, since that comes out November.

That's how it usually works. 3 years of movie theater experience. There will always be at least two trailers that will always be on every print and then there will be about four mixed up from a suggested list. This list is usually about 6-8 titles long.

2009 you say? Come on Watchmen! 2 mins and 15 secs sounds too good to be true for a first trailer though. If the Watchmen trailer isn't attached to the IMAX release and I find out it was in regular theatres I'll be going to see the next showing of Dark Knight first thing in the morning.

I remember reading that the watchman teaser will be attached to TDK
