VP's Report
Hey guys, I'm gonna keep my report this month brief. First and foremost, I promised a high school senior who contacted us at our
[email protected] e-mail address thatwe'd try to attend a car show that she is organizing for her senior class project. 100%of the proceeds ftom the show are going towards breast cancer research and the show is open to all years makes and models of vehicles. Cost is $ 15 per vehicle and the show is on Sunday. April 13th from 10-3pm at Upper Merion High School in King of Prussia, PA. The flyer is included with this newsletter. Anyone who's interested in traveling to the show as a group, please send me an e-mail and we'll arrange a meeting
place in the morning and we'll all drive up to the show together. This is for a good cause and the girl's dad owns a'68 Camaro so that's another reason why we as a ciub should support this show (aside from the fact that it's a Breast Cancer fund raiser and a senior class project that is worthy of scoring an A+).
Car Show update:
We are trying to put something big together in the sponsorship department but it's too early to talk about in case it ends up not happening. More details to follow next month on that. Unfortunately, Scott Settlemire is not going to be able to get us a 5th gen Camaro for our show. He said the reason is because Bumble Bee has to go back to the movie studio in Hollywood where they are filming Transformers 2 this summer and also because the official debut of the 2010 Camaro is not taking place until next fall. I guess all ofthe concept Camaros are also spoken for on our weekend in June elsewhere in the counfry. I assure you I tried my best to get this done but after bugging Scott about it over e-mail for the last 3 months, he had to tell me the bad news the other day. He promised us a 5th gen Camaro for next year's show but by then, Diver will have them on their lot anyway to bring down for display. Whatever, we tried'.
