Tsk, Tsk.... Naughty Shia....

While we where enjoying images of possible Transformers from The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, apparently Shia LaBeouf was nearly kicked out for smoking and setting off smoke alarms. At least according the National Enquirer. Thanks "DamagedMech" for the link.
Sounds like Indiana Jones oughtta whip the butt of young “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” co-star SHIA LABEOUF, who triggered a big stink during location filming of new flick “Transformers 2” when he snuck a cigarette in the men’s john at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum – setting off blaring smoke detector alarms!

LaBeouf snuffed the cig just as museum guards burst in – but they spotted his soggy butt floating in the toilet bowl.

He endured a stern lecture, topped by a warning he’d be ejected from the museum if he lit up again.

The kid lucked out: In February, he was nabbed for illegal smoking on a Burbank sidewalk and fined 500 BUCK$$!

Sarah Lennox might be back...

In casting news, IMDB has updated to reflect that Samantha Smith will reprise her role of Sarah Lennox, wife to Duhamel's Captain Lennox. Also Sean Krishnan as been added as Yakov and Zhubin Rahbar as "Officer." The usual who, what, when, wheres are not available. Thanks to linariel for noticing the additions.
Also... news on the State Pen shoot...

For the last couple of days Transformers 2 production has been prepping Eastern State Penitentiary for a shooting to occur today (that closed the site) and tomorrow that involves at least Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox. "Energonkid" and another source have verified that Girard College Campus is the new base camp for the shoot but its private property so usual law restrictions apply.

Also Energonkid noted some useful observations that may help in working out what is being filmed.
I couldn't get inside the prison, or get any decent pictures but I watched them unload trucks for a while. They were taking in lexan blast shields they put cameras behind when there is an explosion or sparks nearby. It seemed like an awful lot of support trucks. Tons of lighting and rigging. I would bet there will be some effect/pyrotechnics taking place, considering they've been prepping this for three days and the scope of the stuff they are taking in.
Where there are explosions...there are Transformers wrecking havoc.

I hope Micheal Bay forces Shia to run right through a wall of fire as punishment for his actions

Intereting comments form Fox over on the MTV Movie Blog...

I like the fact that they are trying to add a bit more character in there, should bode well for the movie, it shouldnt just all be about the action.

Over at the Transformers live blog they have a report up that says Sam, Mckaila and there friends are being attacked by something that looks like Frenzy could this be the Aprilla motorcycle character maybe ravage, rumble, or laserbeak?

Ravage was originally slated to be in the first movie, so it is very exciting to think that he is in this movie. Would make sense that it is a crotch rocket. The colors of the bike have me leaning towards lazerbeak also.

That model thing looks too small to be a Bike Bot TBH

More Transformers 2 Plot Details Emerge

Michael Bay revealed a couple new details in an interview with the New Jersey Times. The story picks up with Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) visiting Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) at a fictional East Coast school with an Ivy League feel. Apparently Banes didn’t have enough money to go to college and was left behind in Los Angeles. And while the first movie was about a boy and his first car, Bay says that the new movie “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man.” Rainn Wilson was spotted on set the same day that they were shooting a scene where Sam is late to his Astronomy 101 class, which might mean that Wilson is Witwicky’s Astronomy professor. Photo to the right thanks to TLive.

Josh Duhamel who played Captain Lennox in the original film tells Empire Magazine that the biggest change in the sequel is “who [Lennox is] working with “, emphasizing the “Who he’s working with.” This seems to confirm speculation that the Autobots might have to form an alliance with the Decepticons to fight something bigger. Could those rumors about Fallen actually be true?

And for those wondering, the cool “Revenge is Coming… 2009” set-up pictured at the top of this post (thanks to KD), was on display at The My Little Pony Fair 2008 (who knew?), which took place at Hasbro, Inc.’s Providence, Rhode Island headquarters last week.

Never underestimate Empire’s superhuman ability to turn a couple of quotes into a full-blown, several paragraphs (and more!), news story. Because, dear readers, even the most seemingly insignificant quotes can shed new light on upcoming films – and frankly, it would be remiss of us not to report such things.

Take this Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen story, for example. We had the good fortune to bump into Josh Duhamel (thoroughly nice guy, by the way; looks great in a tux) on the set of When In Rome last week, and took the opportunity to ask him about the currently-shooting Michael Bay mega-sequel, in which he returns as heroic soldier, Captain William Lennox.

And, although he couldn’t say much about the film, lest Bay deploy some Decepticon goons to kick him right in the Energon Cubes, he did let slip the following exciting tidbit when Empire asked him what was different this time round for Lennox.

“I guess who he’s working with is probably the biggest change,” said Duhamel, before adding once more, presumably for emphasis. “Who he’s working with

And then he was gone. But Duhamel’s cryptic clue would certainly seem to add credence to recent rumours that the second Transformers movie will, as with X-Men 2 (another movie produced by Transformers’ Tom De Santo), see the forces of good and evil team up to fight another, more terrifying foe.

The title of the movie already strongly hints at the presence of The Fallen, an incredibly powerful robot – one of the thirteen original Transformers – hellbent on vengeance. Could he be so powerful, so mean, and so nasty that his presence forces the Autobots and the Decepticons to set aside their differences and work together?

Sounds like it. Of course, next time we bump into Duhamel, we’ll ask him. We’re sure he’ll spill all the beans then…

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is out next year.

My guess this person he is now working with will be Simmons, formally of Sector 7.

Yeah, I figured we'd see a slight team-up if there's a bigger threat, a la Unicron or something in the next one. But only temporary, and full of back-biting.

Maybe he teams up with Starscream to fight Megs. :oldrazz:

TFW2005 is reporting that Bay has put this comment up on his site Shoot For The Edit...

What that picture is - that is not a complete Transformer. We use detailed puppets for effects for sizing and color - the real effects are later completed but the robots are much more complicated.

I will post soon to tell you all about the shoot.

Michael

Obviously he's on about the Frenzy-like puppet seen 'attacking' the Astra

Interesting. Maybe he means it will have wings or something. (hint, hint)

LOL at Sam writing in Kryptonian. Wrong franchise, Mr. Informant. :cwink:

The part about Sam becoming super smart reminds me of when Buster Witwicky gains the Creation Matrix in the marvel comic series. If this and "The Fallen" are in fact true then that would be atleast 2 references from the comic series, this is a possitive approach as the comics were much much more deeper then the cartoon. As a fan of the comics this makes me one happy camper, kudos to Bay and the writers if this is all true

Any info on which Transformers will be in this movie?

so, Fallen is the name of a Transformer?
if it is, then Autobots and Decepticons may ally to defeat him, like I thought would happen.

Do you really think that would work on the big screen though?

EDIT: After reading the ful article, it doesnt sound so bad actually.

Well we know from the 1st movie what happened to Sam's great grandfather Capt Witwicky and this seems to hark back to that with Sam's symptoms. It's possible we will see Sam start to go mad, an interesting angle if this is the case.

Edit: I just read the Sam thread, I'm a little slow today :down
