I've personally never heard of the Fallen until the title was announced. It'll be refreshing going into this movie without any pre-concieved notions about the character.

Anyhow, could someone fill us in about the events that took place in the 'Reign of Starscream' storyline, as it's said this movie will expand from it.

I don't like the fact that you almost need required reading prior to seeing this movie.

Doesn't bode well for the cohesiveness of the plot.

The just expand on the story they don't alter it, the comics are not essential reading.

I'd rather they go with a character or enemy that isn't all that familiar to fanboys...that means they can do it without having to cater to constant gripes.

The Fallen is still an obscure character even to fan boys, all he did was appear in one chapter of War Within.

I do realize that. The point I was trying to make is that (and I hope I'm wrong) the Fallen character's development in the movie is going to be essentially nonexistant, as in we'll only get a 30 second speech by Prime. The Fallen's motivations are probably going to be childlike simplistic (kill all robots), and so as a result it's sole purpose on the screen is to make things go boom.

Like I said above, I hope I'm wrong but this movie sounds like it's going to attempt to cram too much (like Spiderman 3, or Pirates 2 & 3).

Well this is a Michael Bay movie, we cant have story getting in the way of teh explosions.

i just hope the military doesnt get in the way that much like the last one...kinda bothered me in the first one

LaBeouf Injury Slows Transformers 2

A few days ago Shia LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after an accident. Well it turns out it wasn’t his fault, some dumb person went through a red light. Although the police let him go, he had to have hand surgery as a result of the accident and will be be resting for a month. This has thrown a wrench into the filming schedule of Transformers 2 and so far two days of filming have been lost. Scenes featuring co-star Josh Duhamel had to be moved to this week to work around LaBeouf’s hand pain, and everyone has had to adjust their schedule.

The possibility of a SAG strike couldn’t stop the mighty Transformers, yet one man has the power to cause chaos among the production with the palm of his hand.

All hail LaBeouf!

Hopefully this means less Shia time but it probably won't :(

Happy that The Fallen has indeed been confirmed, but flicking through War Within Vol.2 the other day (havent actually read it yet), he didnt seem in it that much, and Unicron wasnt even mentioned by him.

They will definately need to expand on his character a little in the movie.

I saw that poster earlier.... but the comments i saw with it were that it's a simple fan made thing.....

Guess they were wrong.

I'm not going to read the whole 52 pages. It will be completely waste my time. So, is Megatron back in the sequel??

In a new interview with Access Hollywood, it would appear director Michael Bay is in complete control of the whole "Shia kinda f**ked up the sequel" situation. Not only does Bay insist that Shia LaBeouf wasn't drunk when he wrecked his car, but he also alluded to re-writing the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen script so that Shia can work with a damaged hand. On whether LaBeouf was drunk at the time of the accident, Bay says, "You're gonna see - that's gonna go away. That's fresh news... He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before." Wait ... did he mean "he was drinking FOR hours and hours before?" Heh.

But the most interesting part for us film fanatics comes when Bay says, "I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital. His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we're figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story." Early reports claimed LaBeouf would have to miss about a month of shooting, which, depending on who you talk to, either does or does not put a major strain on the production. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Bay was in LaBeouf's hospital room right now with a giant freakin' robot and a camera shooting away, while screaming, "Just get everything ... we'll figure it all out in post!"

Haha. Well, if they need a hospital scene, they got it.

"Yeah, what I'm doing here, this is called method acting, man."
