While it is simply the cars driving about in different locations (Quite a few Desert locations) but the combinations of Autobots we see (Specially a lot of BumbleBee, Mudflap and Skids) and the lack of a certain character COULD be a hint as to the way the Autobots team up in the movie.

The autobots want to stay under cover yet they disguise themselves as the newest most shiniest cars.

At first, Megatron COULD HAVE been the "Lucifer" of the TF-universe, because he wanted all the power and glory for himself, but he's just now a pawn it seems.

Bumblebee, Skids and Mudflap team up to search for Jetfire(don't know why Jetfire needs to be found).

Sideswipe, Jolt and Ratchet are seen on a different path, so those three must team up somehow in the film.

Prime, Ironhide and Arcee must be the third team.

There's a Legends toy of Springer. I heard internet rumblings that he may be in the film, but nothing from credible sources. Point to note though, all the Legends Class toys we've seen so far are of characters who will appear in the film, like Jetfire, Megatron, Optimus and Bumblebee. There's been no toy-only character yet, with Springer being the only possible exception.

Wheelie definitely switches factions. From which to which, it's hard to say. His toy even has a faction symbol changing gimmick. The toy's also called Autobot Wheelie.

Jetfire's toy on the other hand, is labelled Decepticon Jetfire, and we know he starts out Decepticon. If Wheelie follows the same pattern as him, he'll probably start out Autobot, like you said.

I dunno if they'll do a flashback with Jazz, but it's the only way he'll appear. He's dead in TF2, and not coming back.

Because I've been trying to collect every version of every character ever to be associated with the name "Sideswipe" and so far I havent seen any that could turn into a corvette.

The "Sideswipe" that was a decepticon is not the same as G1 Sideswipe.That character comes from a alternate universe like Star Treks "Mirror Universe" in which the Decepticons are the good guys.

The character and the toy is repaint of "Armada Wheeljack" and it was that character that defected.

It was "Armada Wheeljack" who was a friend of Hot-shot and defected to the Decepticons.

I have been wondering since Sideswipe will be in the movie, do you we will see or hear something about his twin bother Sunstreaker? Since these are G1 bots, and Sideswipe did have a twin.

No news of Sunstreaker unfortunately. We also haven't seen any sports car on set that looks as comparably cool as Sideswipe's. And they're already doing the twins angle with Mudflap and Skids.

If he's not in it, I hope we'll see him in TF3.

Well there a corvette in G1 but I'm not sure if he was a Stingray.
