So you don't believe it was a major waste of potential? I'm not one of the haters, I enjoyed the first film a lot and tend to defend Bay because I like most(not all) of his films even though I realize a lot of them are fairly mindless. I just think there is a difference between being a fan of Bay's films or Transformer films and just settling and accepting everything.

Let me just state that the only Bay films I like are Transformers...I hate everything else he has done. I don't accept everything ROTF has flaws but I don't think Devs and the Fallen were wasted because I never got the sense they were something to be worried about. The film (perhaps unfortunately) relieves all tension from the Fallen in the first 20 or so minutes and Devs was never stated to be a bad ass. For me the most important things were: Prime was a legend and Megs and Starscream felt like G1 Megs and Starscream. Everything from there for me was a bonus. Now if someone had stated that the Fallen was too strong for Prime (or something a long the lines of Yoda's/Ben's speech to Luke before he fights Vader) then when he got battered I would have been like WTF. But it never sets up anything to get disappointed about.

Fair enough but in regards Devs was never stated to be a badass...in the film, it should have been common sense to use him in a really badass fight since a transformer of that size really is and should be a badass. Oh well, I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie regardless.

Again I see your point and Devs would have been suited better in a city since in the desert each fights looks to be a few miles away from each other. The only good characters who know off Devs are the Twins, Simmons and Leo. None of the other Autobts know of him because they are busy elsewhere trying to protect Sam, and trying to bring down the numbers of the Decepticon protoforms.

So Devastator and the Fallen are weaklings. The biggest TFs in this movie are taken down easily. So... is there anything for us to worry and be scared about during this movie? Besides the stupid jokes i mean...

I don't see how they can be taken down so easily, I mean ****, Fallen is essentially a god in the eyes of the Transformers.

First of all there is no major threat in the movie and that is manily because Prime is so hard...which for me is a trade off I am prepared to accept since his creaming in the last film.

Secondly...I can't justify Devs destruction...we built a big ass laser and hey it worked. As for the Fallen though, he entered the last fight very late and so was in a rush to get his machine moving...due to this he didn't fight any other robot aside from Prime....and he had previously stated that "only a Prime can defeat me" so when their fight began it was always going to be one sided.

So is Prime one of the Primes? A descendant? And if he is any of that, shouldnt Megatron be something similar? He is his brother and former co-ruler of Cybertron after all...

Yes he is a descendant of the Original Primes, Jetfire was honoured to see him as well. Megatron is no relation it would seem, he is just a servant of the Fallen.

So all that "brother" chat in the first flick was just metaphor, not literal.

Was there nameless protoforms towards the end in the desert?

Neat neat, was it Decepticon reinforcements, or both sides?

Just the Decepticons. Soundwave sends them down to assist...would have been mint if he had joined them...but given how nails Prime is in this film he wouldn't have lasted long.

So, I got another question. I thought The Fallen was entombed inside one of the Pyramids. But now I'm reading that he's on Saturn or whatever, which is it?

He's in a tomb. The twins find him. I think. Either them or Sam

or Bee.

One of those 4.

The Fallen is chilling on Saturn with Starscream watching over some Decepticon infants that keep dying because of the lack of energon.

I believe that the two of them are actual brothers. They were co-rulers of Cybertron for a long time so even if they arent actual brothers, they could be metaphorically.
But it strikes me that one is a descendant of the Primes and the other is nothing.

So where do these protoforms come from?
And why didnt the land to assist earlier?

Decepticon infacts? Wait...what?
Also, i thought they were autonomous robotic organisms. Why do they need energon all of a sudden?

The Decepticon Protoforms came from space...it is unknown what planet (although Saturn would be the logical choice). I assume they didn't help earlier because they weren't needed...Megs has pretty much everything under control till Egypt.

Yeah in some werid ass ship which seems to have forestry in it, dwells Starscream, the Fallen and some pods which contain baby Decepticon's that keep dying. Best not to ask too many questions and just go with it LOL.

Starscream still have that creepy alien voice from the first one?

Does Longhaul talk and or get a nice amount of screentime?

Aside from Demolisher and Sideswipe, what other Decepticons are in the Shanghai battle?

To me Starscream sounded a lot more G1 which was brilliant...so yes a lot more creepy.

I can't recall Longhaul talking and he is in it for around 45 seconds tops.

Demolisher and Sideways are they only ones in Shangai...so it seems overkill that Prime, Arcee, Moonracer, Chromia, Ironhide, Sideswipe and the Twins are present along with NEST soldiers. the only Autobots that actually do any fighting there are Prime and Sideswipe...the rest just either chase or do nothing.
