Like I said before, I think both Themes suck. But I go with the one that doesn't make me all sleepy.
What's ironic is, I actually think Earthsuit would have done a more fitting theme - they were retro-androids incarnate, and had Adam LaClave, who was in love with vocoders.
Still, this rendition is far more respectable than anything most other bands would have come up with. Case in point: that gawd-awful nu-metal version that most people here seem to prefer. I mean, seriously?

t:To prove that the 1986 soundtrack stinks I decided to reflect on the past. In college I had eight roommates and all of them were transformers fans. Not one of them liked that album.t:
I'm getting kind of irked with you bashing the 86 soundtrack. We know you don't like it and you repeating it over and over again is pointless. So what are you trying to prove? It has a lot of nostalgic factor to a lot of fans. Nobody is really trying to compare it to modern music. We know it is 80s cheese and that's what makes it good...that and it has a great emotional kick to it. So how bout you move on.

has anybody seen this one yet, its the theme from the first movie by Lion, except this one is by a band called Black Lab, wait a few seconds for the music to kick in.

That is absolutely terrible.
He sounds like he is squeezing out over some hemmorhoids, or he is trying way too hard to sound like any grunge or rock band singer from the 90's (Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland, Layne Staley, garbage garbage garbage Scott Stapp garbage garbage). These singers have to stop doing that.
I don't like it at all.

Black Lab Releases Transformers Song
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 3:03AM CDT
Black Lab, a rock band known for their MTV hits- Wash it Away and Time Ago as well as their featured songs on the Spiderman and Blade: Trinity soundtracks recently submitted a song to Paramount for consideration on the new Transformers Movie soundtrack. Unfortunately, the song did not make the finalized cut as reported here.
As July 4th approaches the group had no other choice than to release their Transformers Theme song independently. Black Lab member and long time Transformers fan, Andy Ellis, stated that the group is obsessed with Transformers and they are excited about their new release because it has the G1esque sound that people are dying to hear.
Click here to hear it. More information can be found at Blacklabworld. The song will be available at iTunes at the end of June
Same here.the only thing i didn't like about the song was the chorus. i agree...he sounds like he's taking a dump while he's singing the chorus...
...i thought everything else was awesome.
It just sounds like a cover of the G1 movie theme, nothing original, needs to be more energetic imo.
