Transformers theme online

Like I said before, I think both Themes suck. But I go with the one that doesn't make me all sleepy.

If that makes you drowsy, I wonder what a little band called Radiohead does to you... ;)

What's ironic is, I actually think Earthsuit would have done a more fitting theme - they were retro-androids incarnate, and had Adam LaClave, who was in love with vocoders.

Still, this rendition is far more respectable than anything most other bands would have come up with. Case in point: that gawd-awful nu-metal version that most people here seem to prefer. I mean, seriously?

Yah...Earthsuit was a good band, but Mute Math's sound just seems like a more-mature sound for them, and bands maturing with their music, even if changing the names and what not is a good thing; something that The Ataris can't do...they changed their music, and that was a bad idea, imo.

But I liked the other theme too...it's different, and I'm not gonna get butt hurt like a lot of fanboys got when they heard both songs...it's just different, but also good in different ways.

Would you like G-Unit to do a TF theme instead?

What I said makes no sense whatsoever, but I wanted to ask SOMEONE that.

To prove that the 1986 soundtrack stinks I decided to reflect on the past. In college I had eight roommates and all of them were transformers fans. Not one of them liked that album.:woot:

I'm getting kind of irked with you bashing the 86 soundtrack. We know you don't like it and you repeating it over and over again is pointless. So what are you trying to prove? It has a lot of nostalgic factor to a lot of fans. Nobody is really trying to compare it to modern music. We know it is 80s cheese and that's what makes it good...that and it has a great emotional kick to it. So how bout you move on.

Sorry if that was a poor attempt at humor but, I was only kidding. I didn't mean to offend anyone.:csad:

has anybody seen this one yet, its the theme from the first movie by Lion, except this one is by a band called Black Lab, wait a few seconds for the music to kick in.

That is absolutely terrible.

He sounds like he is squeezing out over some hemmorhoids, or he is trying way too hard to sound like any grunge or rock band singer from the 90's (Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland, Layne Staley, garbage garbage garbage Scott Stapp garbage garbage). These singers have to stop doing that.

I don't like it at all.

Actually, it's a decent song...his voice sounds perhaps, strained, but in all, it works fine with song...the drumming sounds great too.

Black Lab Releases Transformers Song

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 3:03AM CDT

Black Lab, a rock band known for their MTV hits- ‘Wash it Away’ and ‘Time Ago’ as well as their featured songs on the Spiderman and Blade: Trinity soundtracks recently submitted a song to Paramount for consideration on the new Transformers Movie soundtrack. Unfortunately, the song did not make the finalized cut as reported here.

As July 4th approaches the group had no other choice than to release their Transformers Theme song independently. Black Lab member and long time Transformers fan, Andy Ellis, stated that the group is obsessed with Transformers and they are excited about their new release because it has the G1esque sound that people are dying to hear.

Click here to hear it. More information can be found at Blacklabworld. The song will be available at iTunes at the end of June

Now that Theme I like. Paramount are freaking idiots for not using it.

the only thing i didn't like about the song was the chorus. i agree...he sounds like he's taking a dump while he's singing the chorus...

...i thought everything else was awesome.

Yeah, it definitely sounds great. The only Theme that actually sounds good, and it ends up not being used.

Grrrrrrraaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!! :cmad:

'k guys, I got the Black Lab Theme. No background noises or anything.

Download here.

It just sounds like a cover of the G1 movie theme, nothing original, needs to be more energetic imo.

MuteMath's themes is WAY WAY WAY too Techno, its got a certain appeal to it, i'll give it that, but the song never builds up in tempo that would match a blockbuster like Transformers

Black Lab's theme is much more in touch with the fans that are seeing the movie, its got that Rock Edge to it, Additionally it isnt just a simple rehash of the 80s version.
I could actually be proud listening to this song jammin in my car

Needs to be WAAY more energetic. Good try though and better than Mutemath's or that wanna-be Linkin Park version.
