Sci-Fi Tron: Ares with Jared Leto

I am sure Leto hurt the movie. I at the same time think the ceiling for Tron isn't high enough to justify 180+ mil budgets. Both can be true

I actually ended up enjoying this a good bit. Leto was quite normal here rather than going method, just a shame he is a scum bag.

The rest of the cast are great too though and I ended up enjoying the storyline of AI coming into our world. Seeing the original grid was great and of course they had to tease connections to Legacy for the next movie which won't happen now. That credits teaser could have turned into something great also. Greta Lee was a standout and her story in the movie quite touching.

I have complained about the budget but in fairness you see it all on screen. This is a big movie but as I said a few pages back it just wasn't going to be profitable. I think Ronning has potential as a director for sure. He knows how to do a set piece and make a movie look good.

I still feel a direct Legacy sequel would have done better, especially with Kosinski and Cillian back, but I did enjoy what they were going for here. 7/10.
