Tron Legacy Sequels

Yeah, his designs on that film were stunning. I wish he simply hadn't tried to do the young Jeff Bridges thing, because unfortunately, the technology isn't quite good enough to make that look completely realistic 100 percent of the time (I'd say it was about 50/50). That's a shame because other than that, I think the movie was visually perfect otherwise. The city, the bikes, the jets... all of it was pure eye candy.

I thought his face looked pretty good when they entered in Tron but that scene where he's telling young Sam that story in the beginning was the only thing that was off to me. But yeah everything else is just pure eye candy.

Yeah, I don't know why they even used his face in most of that scene. They could have avoided showing it altogether there until the very end when he walks out the door (like in the trailer).

That's what I expected, too. When he was in The Grid, though, the imperfect CGI actually added to the character of CLU 2.0 for me.

Garrett Hedlund to Return For TRON: Legacy Sequel

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=98025

Following word last week that Walt Disney has brought aboard screenwriter Jesse Wigutow to rewrite their next TRON film comes confirmation, via NextMovie that TRON: Legacy leading man Garrett Hedlund will return as well.

In the 2010 film, Hedlund played Sam Flynn, the son of the original TRON's Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges). Hedlund, who soon stars as Dean Moriarty in Walter Salles' On the Road, previously reprised the role for a brief short on the TRON: Legacy DVD and Blu-ray release.

Although a specific plot has not yet been revealed, the next chapter was said earlier this year to involve an exploration of life and death in the digital realm.

Previously drafted by David DiGilio, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the third TRON adventure will again be directed by Joseph Kosinski.

Flynn Lives! :woot:

It'd be cool if they have Beck show up.

Imagine if Sam and Quorra were caught in a tough situation with some enemy programs, and all of the sudden Beck and a bunch of resistance fighters come out of nowhere and kick bad guys' butts ten ways to Sunday?

Of course, I guess it all depends if he makes it out of the series alive.

Which makes me wonder where he was during Legacy if he was alive.

Maybe he was in a similar situation as Tron and just hiding out. But, located in a different city.

Maybe he hears about Clu's defeat, and decides to come out of hiding with all of his resistance buddies. And once he hears that The Creator's son is in the Grid, he meets up with Sam and Quorra to help them defeat this new threat, whatever that may be (possibly Sark 2.0?).

Also maybe still fighting in other cities, but Clu didn't think much of him since he already had so much power and turned Tron into Rinzler.

Details on the project are few, but it was previously said that the film would deal with the question of life and death in the digital realm. It may or may not involve a connection to the Tron: Uprising television series. If there were a link to the TV show, it may include an appearance from Alan Bradley/Tron himself, Bruce Boxleitner.

It's highly likely that actor Cillian Murphy (The Dark Knight films, In Time) will also return for a more substantial role in TRON 3 -- as he was introduced briefly as Edward Dillinger, Jr. in TRON: LEGACY -- the son of Kevin Flynn's nemesis (actor David Warner) in the original TRON movie. Murphy's Dillinger character could potentially serve as a major antagonist to Hedlund's Flynn.

I wonder if we get to see Ram in Tron 3 seeing how he returned in the extras.

Awesome! Now just need Olivia Wilde and Daft Punk confirmation.

Wilde, Daft Punk, and Cillian Murphy needs to be on this. Also I heard a rumor a week ago that the MCP might be back for 3.

Also I just re-watched Legacy for the first time in months, it still amazes me. Also watching this with surround sound headphones was incredible.

I was worried this wasn't going to happen anytime soon. This is great news.

I didn't care for Tron: Legacy and I really don't care about what might happen in a sequel, but if a third movie gets me another Daft Punk score, then bring it.

Oh, it really is moving forward, isn't it? Excellent!
