If this is true, I will **** in my pants. I need more outlets confirming.

I must say, I am a bit confused by the support. I am definitely a fan of Tron Legacy, but it isn't the best of films. Paper thin in the story department, saved by the performances and visuals imo.

It's not a great film by any stretch, but it's an enjoyable one (though there's a sluggish stretch). So I'd be up for a sequel (again, Olivia Wilde would be needed for me as she was the best part of Legacy), just hope it's better written so it can perhaps be both an enjoyable film and a great one.

I really enjoyed the, visuals, the world building and the Daft Punk score. It's superficial true, but hey, it's all in good fun.

Needless to say, it's THE perfect movie for me. Everything about it was top notch.

The Daft Punk score is sexy. Can't believe I forgot that. Finally got it on blu ray this past Christmas. Have to play it loud. :hmr:

No Wilde, no service.

It also had Michael Sheen doing an amazing David Bowie impression. Too bad he wasn't in more of it :( Anyway yes to more Olivia Wilde in Tron 3, and Cillian Murphy as the main villain.

The visuals and soundtrack were near flawless, and the performances were also relatively strong, all they need is to make major improvements for the plot. Disney has various strong writers working for them, just hire one of them for the project.

i wrotte many times that there is zero chance that a tron sequel would happen in the next 5-7 years. with Disney having Marvel i thought it was over.
Ah, I was with you on this. I am surprised, though happy.

Sheen was so good, and yet so wasted. I also loved The Dude as a Jedi.

So the only problems was the meat and potatoes. Not that big a deal. :o

Oh yes that score is perfect. One of my favourite scores. They better be back for a sequel if it's true, right with Wilde and a better script at the top of my wishlist.

Daft Punk is essential.

It'll be really cool if Daft Punk comes back, but I really doubt they will. However, they can easily get Joseph Trapanese to work on the score. He worked with Daft Punk on Legacy, composed his own score for Tron Uprising, and worked with M83 on Oblivion.

I'd love M83 to to tackle it, I love them more as a band. Don't get me wrong, Daft Punk's score was great, but outside of TLegacy... they're pretty ok. The new album and the song with Pharrel made me hate them.

Well this is some very surprising and very welcomed news..

I really enjoyed Legacy. I would probably give it an 8.0-8.5/10 so I definitely would like to see another one. The original film was good, but a bit dated for me. I'd give it like a 7.0.

The plot, dialogue, etc. wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. It was perfectly fine for the material. What the **** do you want from a Disney summer blockbuster about a dude getting sucked into a video game?
