You'd think to get people psyched for the San Diego Con, they'd release the high-quality test footage they already previewed as a teaser.

that's still really cool, I thought he takes his helmet off at the end.

YEa i cant wait to see how this film turns out and i hope production goes well for everyone. Cant wait to see official footage for the film at this yrs sdcc. Since last yrs footage was just test stuff.

BEWARE SPOILERS!!!

Here's User 2.0...

The title will almost certainly NOT be TRON 2 or TR2N. Possibly something with a colon - TRON: ________.

The story takes place approximately 25 years after the original.

The movie starts in 1989. Kevin Flynn (Bridges) has created some of the world's top selling games based on his Game Grid challenges in the first film, and has marketed the hell out of what he saw there (action figures, Recognizer night lights, yadda yadda yadda).

Flynn has a seven year old son named Sean.

Flynn disappears, leaving behind his son.

Alan Bradley (Boxleitner) takes over Flynn's company (ENCOM).

Jump forward in time: Sean is now twenty something.

Alan Bradley has info that leads Sean to look for Flynn.

Search takes Sean to Flynn's old arcade - mothballed.

Into the computer world goes Sean.

There's a CLU character (Flynn's computer alter-ego from the first film).

Flynn has programmed CLU to run around and make a better computer world, but CLU's gone corrupt and is creating his own interpretation of that perfect world. This is why CLU (young Bridges) is being such a punk-ass in that Comic Con footage we saw.

CLU has it out for a kind of program called ISOs & wants to eradicate them.

The ISOs believe Sean Flynn is the one who will free them from CLU's belligerence.

Somewhere in the computer world, the real Kevin Flynn is whizzing around in a classic Light Cycle. Will he help in the battle against CLU?

Light Jets have jet walls, too.

Light Cycles versus Light Jets.

Big Disc battle!

Bridges going all out for this role. Embracing it. Fans will go gaa gaa.

Some of that stuff sounds awesome. Some of it is wait and see.

I'm surprised that this is moving forward still after so many stall's. I havn't watched the original movie beginning to end for years, I kinda forgot the plot points and who starred in it.

A bit of sounds like the Tron 2.0 game...major characters son goes in looking for father, soup up vehicles and pit them against classic...still, that would be a bad thing. It all depends on how long it takes in post. CG advances so fast that fairly recent films are starting to look dated already. We all know that a major aspect of this film is gonna be digital effects. Does it have to be convincing though...or rather stylised? After typing that, now I'm thinking the latter.

read that plot sounds like a good story, hope the film does well. Also i agree the sfx work has to be top notch.

So, will Tron Guy make a cameo? I mean, he is responsible for bringing Tron back into the light. haha

But seriously, the plot sounds pretty good and the effects will sure as hell be amazing and of course, Bridges is the dude, MAN!

Home run................

I can see it being an 'effects film' and people saying the effects are good but the film is crap though....still sounds good

I'm a little surprised there isn't any indication that the internet will be involved.. I mean they could have the characters flying around cyberspace, similar to that episode of Fairly Odd Parents..

We need a Reboot film too.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only adult who watches this show. Another reference would be Futurama, they went into the internet on that.

That they did. They could use cyber doorways and stuff like in Futurama. That Fairly Odd Parents ep is pretty darn good.

Also kudos for the Prisoner related profile bits  I want Rufus Sewell for No.6 if Nolan ever gets round to doing his movie version.
