Just returned from iTron Night.

I'd give the overall presentation a 8/10 as oppsed to Avatar's 9/5/10
It's a collection of scenes.
THe footage starts with the 2d scenes of Sam and Alan. Sam goes to the Arcade and types some stuff in dad's old computer and starts ups the laser.
The scene then cuts to the 3d COMIC-CON footage of Tron being picked up by a recogniser , taken away and selected to fight in the games.He's given the tron clothes and disc.
Next scene is him fighting with a contestant and ultimately winning.
Next scene is QUARRA escaping with Sam and leaving the grid , going to old Flynn where son and dad meet for the first time.
The footage ends small scenes of the lightcycles dueling , glimpses of lightjets etc.

I think the main difference with the avatar footage was the avatar footage had longer scenes whereas the tron footage wasn't very long. At least in terms of running lenghth of the scenes.

But the visuals were just jawdropping. The 3d was amazing . It's on par with avatar in terms of CG realism but my god the visuals are so different and slick.

I only found out about TRON Night just now, since I saw a post on ONTD about it. (Obviously am not keeping up with the ARG...) The post mentioned that the theater in Estonia was only half-full, was that the case for you?

I'm considering going to the local theater as a standby, since I'm just not finding a lot of hype about it. It wasn't publicized like Avatar, and I think Avatar had a lot of screens for its preview as well. (I went and my theater was only a little more than half full.) I've only been to pre-release footage screenings for TDK, and those were sold out through and through because they only booked 20 theaters at most.

yeah the clip is kinda meh but I just got back from Tron Night and Jackass 3D, It looks amazing, love the montage, and what clips they showed.
Then I was amazed again with Jackass 3D lol I had a great time t: !!!!!!!!!!!

Not so much the Nazi part. Just "visitor from another place comes to help and gets controled by some evil bastard among the populace that he came to help" type scenario. With kevin flynn in the John gill role and Clu 2.0 in the melakon role. Which I guess would make his son Kirk.

I've been waiting and waiting for this movie (sixteen months of post production) that I am losing interest in seeing this movie. I know this sounds crazy! I'm almost at the point of just waiting to see it on Blu-ray. What's another five months at this point! I think Disney has taken to long in marketing this film that now I'm no longer interested, don't get me wrong, six months ago I was excited as heck! I"m actually bored now!

I've intentionally refrained from following the hype on it so that wouldn't happen to me. It already happened to me this year for Inception(I won't see that till Netflix gets it) and I didn't want a repeat.
