It will, but I'm talking about the studio allowing the critics to see the movie before it's released. That's typical a big sign that the studio isn't confident with it. It having bloody and extreme violence is no excuse to say that most critics will hate it, most critics, the good ones at least, like to watch movies of varying genres and if they don't like a certain film, it's because they think it's **** and not because of violence.

Well some critics are open minded like you said,but some just don't like this type of movie and they will already have their mind made up that they hate the film with giving it a chance.And I thought it's usual a bad sign if a film don't get review by critics at all.

It played with American Dad, and on Adult Swim apparently. That's a good step away from the two shows you're talking about. I mean, those aren't two HUGE TV ratings generators, but we'll see where it goes. They might not want to blow their budget on the big-slot commercial airings when they're promoting against Quantum of Solace and Transporter 3. Maybe mid to end-month they'll start going in front of prime-time TV.

i saw a tv spot for war zone on espn this afternoon. i'm guessing it was the 2nd one everyone has been talking about? it starts off with a v.o. talking about frank castle and shots of his family's death and then the "i'd like to get my hands on god" line and then some action and then there's some jigsaw. i thought the first tv spot was just okay, but i really liked this one. i really hope someone posts it online real soon.

found the new tv spot on youtube... but it didn't have sound on it for some reason but it doesn't matter now. all the tv spots are at that link. the one i saw on espn earlier today was the "reborn" spot.

edit: is it just me or do those clips on traileraddict not have sound either? the trailers and first tv spot work fine, but the new tv spots have no audio. booo!!

I know, what a tease, eh? Looks good though. I like how that one parkour guy is totally about to be hit by a heat-seeking missile mid-front flip. The rest of the new stuff looks cool too, although I'm not too keen on the weird ninja stuff at the end. Hopefully it's got a reason, and it isn't just some random guy pulling off a karate-style kick. I want it with sound!

It seems to me like that scene is more just LBJ going ape**** and throwing himself at Frank every way he can rather than actually doing martial arts.

I have only caught one tv spot but I'm sure we will see more spots soon. Lgf might really plug this movie like they do with all of there other movies it seem like that is happend now.

It hard to tell with alot of professional tv critics they are usually prejudice against gory action and horror movies with a couple of exceptions.Plus they seem to expect every flick to be like the godfather but since there will be alot of story to this movie maybe the critics will go easy on this flick.

They'll be prejudiced against it. I think the general rule will be 'make up your own mind', or maybe just 'add 2 stars to whatever they give it'. As a critic, they'd look bad for giving a low-budget action flick a good rating, so it'll have to be pretty good for them to look past that. That's my thinking, anyways. I'm not gonna make excuses if I hate the movie too, but if I like it and the critics don't... well! As long as I like it.
