OK, i know that we won't see Two-Face in his full glory until the TDK sequel, but I think it would be an interesting thing to talk about having some "foreshadowing" to Two-Face in TDK. maybe using shadows or some personality "inconsistencies" in Harvey. Any ideas?

I like the idea of there being absolutely no hints towards Two-Face. Harvey should come across as a shining example of an executor of law.

I agree.

The whole split personality take in BTAS never won me over.

They should've established Harvey Dent in Batman Begins but I guess better late then never.

How about after The Joker is caught in and being questioned by cops in a room with a 2-way mirror, Den't on the other side of that mirror, and then Joker starts talking smack about Dent, he gets Dent fired up and Dent has a huge outburst of anger, and that gives off the idea something is wrong with him.

I heard this idea somewhere else, but I think it's cool.

I think that there will deffinetly be allusions to the number two. I actually wrote a fanscript years ago before Batman begins came out. The main villain was Ra's Al Ghul, Ubu, and Talia. But it featured Selina Kyle in a small role to build around for future scripts and had Harvey Dent in it as the Assistant D.A. running for District Attorney. At the end of the script he was elected D.A. while Gordon was promoted to captain. After Batman had just fended off the city from Ra' s Al Ghul's plan to, yes poison the water supply (by pumping the Ebola A-Strain into the pipes of Gotham's water supply ala the "Legacy" crossover) there was going to be, you guessed it an allusion to the Joker.

There was going to be a rooftop meeting with Batman and the now Captain James Gordon. They were going to talk about this "new guy", calls himself the "Red Hood". He's killed 4, security guards, two bank tellers, and one civilian."

Gordon then introduced Batman to his new ally, D.A. Harvey Dent. The three of them then sweared their oath to bring this new threat to justice much like the Long Halloween. The script was heavily based on BATMAN YEAR ONE, BATMAN THE LONG HALLOWEEN, and CONTAGION/LEGACY.

David S. Goyer stole my script ideas me thinks. It was titled BATMAN DARK JUSTICE and written in 2002. Since then I scrapped it and wrote a sequel to Batman Begins with Oswald Cobblepot, Black Mask, Bane and Tony Zucco as the villains with the same title cause the original Dark Justice was never completely finished...just the treatment and half the script.

This is my ideal way to have had done Dent in Batman 1.

In The Dark Knight they have to have the coin. How he gets it is irrelevant. He has to have it. I had a line in it where some one jokes that, "Harvey probably tries his cases off of the flip of that damn coin he always carries around".
Ironically he would make all of his decisions like this as Two-Face.

Just some ideas.

Well we know if Mark Steven Johnson was writing/directing it then he would look out a window during a lightning storm, then the light would come through some stained glass and would light the left side of his face. Then Harvey would watch a black and white cartoon where a lawer is in the court, representing both the Defendant and the Prosecution.

I agree he should be a good lawyer, but it should come across that he is a conflicted and confused individual. TLH showed him to be flawed and overzealous in his bid to take down the Roman (Two shots to the head etc) and there was a nice piece of foreshadowing with him flipping the coin in his basement. That sotry also had dialogue about his insane father, suggesting it lay within Harvey also, and that the acid scene merely brings it out.

I don't think that can be helped sadly. With the advent of Eckhart being cast, almost every single publication has titled it as "Aaron Eckhart signs on as Harvey/Two-Face". Way to keep the surprise jackasses.

As for foreshadowing, I don't think there should be too much hints in accordance with Harvey's personality. But rather, visual cues, if that makes sense.

For example, if Harvey is sitting in his office alone at night next to the blinds, light reflects off the right side of his face, but his left is completely shrouded in darkness. Subtle effects like that would be nice, as a nod to the hardcore comic book fans that already know what's in store.

I want him to have his coin as Harvey. It'll just be something he takes out of his pocket and flips as a nervous habit.

Will they show him struggling w/ his personality disorder before being scarred by whoever or whatever scars him.

I think he meant in the movie itself

No, I know, but people are bound to read entertainment news. If they're gonna plaster Harvey/Two-Face everywhere Eckhart is mentioned, it's gonna spread.

Similar to the way that every time James Franco was interviewed, they kept referring to Harry taking on the Goblin costume somewhere down the line.

I hope so. Would make more sense for him to be wrestling with his demons throughout the movie rather than go instantly from Jekyll to Hyde (as it were).

Carl Finch was my favorite D.A.

:(
may he rest in peace.

I would love to see a split personality like in TAS!

Maybe not to the fans, but I don't see why it's necessary to just blurt it out if it's not necessary to the plot. It'd certainly be more surprising if the audience didn't expect it, no?

it would, I find I'm often more surprised when things I'm not expecting happen

TLH showed him to be flawed? Sure, he had a bit of a dark sense of humor (the two shots to the head line) but he was an outstanding person and a true good guy. The coin flipping thing I could live with, because just flipping a coin doesn't show you to have some unsettled evil within you.

I don't believe TLH mentioned anything about his father.

I think having any suppressed madness in Harvey before his accident, you take away a bit of the meaning of Harvey's fall.

I prefer the idea he's already messed up, and the acid just makes it easier to tell.
