I kinda just wanted a movie introducing Harvey Dent, his assistance in Batman's war, his partnership with Gordon, his friendship with Bruce, and then delve heavily into his secret mental illness...

...but I wasn't expecting him to CHANGE into Two-Face in TDK.

Some people are complaining that TDK has too many characters. I'm not. What I'm worried about is TDK having too many plot points to manage.

It'll work out fine. And he may just transform in the very end.

I want him, but only in the end. Like the last scene.

If it works, I want him!

Exactly. I don't know if it does or not... we've heard a lot of rumbling about THE DARK KNIGHT's story, but it's hard to tell which stories are big and which ones are minor points. THE DARK KNIGHT might not be quite as crowded as it appears.

I have faith that Nolan with bring us just the right amount of Harvey, and just the right amount of Two-Face in TDK.

Call it a hunch... :)

People really need to quit beyotching about the number of characters.
Just because there's many doesn't mean they will all have the same screen time or ruin the story.

Yes it does. Gordon's wife will have just as much, maybe even more screen time than Batman and The Joker. That could ruin the movie:ninja:

I think if he only appears at the very end of the movie, it'll work out all right. Like the Joker's card at the end of BB, just a little hook to get people wanting to see the next movie.

btw, did anybody else's theater give a collective 'oooooh!' and then start clapping at the reveal of the Joker card?

Honestly I dont even think Batman/Bruce Wayne will be the main character in TDK anymore! Or at least he wont get that much screen time like he did in BB

I'll always remember this moment because it was actually real weird.

Right when Gordon says "always leaves a calling card" and hands the bag to Batman - the whole sold out theater earily whispered "Joker" almost simultaneiously as the face of the card was revealed.

At my showing, it was like the audience thought the film was over. They just started talking aboutthe card and missed the final exchange between Gordon and Batman. To them, the film ended right when Gordon flipped that card over. The atmosphere was just great and it made the experience that much more enjoyable.

Creepy...there were a lot of "Hell, yeah!"s thrown around the theater i was in, myself included.

I'm not concerned about it. Nolan proved in Begins that he knows how to portion out the screen time and tease us with a new villian. From what I told everyone in my set report, the Two-Face stuff is small and intimate with only a couple other actors involved. Things will work out perfectly.

:batty:

Yeah I hope he turns into two-face at the end, to surprise everyone. But I hope thats not gonna be a major surprise cuz we already know about it

Just as long as he kicks ass, i'll be surprised enough.

I am not opposed to the idea of Two Face showing up at the very end of TDK, but preferably, I would like to see Gordon, Dent, and Batman all up by the bat signal much like Gordon and Batman were at the end of Batman Begins and after a quick discussion about what may happen next in the "war" against crime that these men are waging on gotham's underworld, Dent turns to Gordon with a silver dollar and says something like, "Flip you for it?" as the screen fades to black, essentially alluding to the fact that Two Face is definately the next villain in Nolan's second Batman sequel.

I always thought that Dent would become Two-Face either at the very end of TDK.

Just want him at the end of the film

Oh hell yes. I remember it vividly, everyone whispered "oh ***** the joker" at the same time.

I do casue it'll rasie the value of his first Silver age appearance.:p

Like Batman Begins introduced Bruce Wayne, it's important to give an equal account of Dent in The Dark Knight. So no Two-Face until the end of the film. ;)
