Two-Face/Harvey Dent Thread

Here's something I've been wondering about. In the comics it's kind of been shown that Two-Face can sometimes stand tow-to-toe with Batman in a fight.
Have they ever explained why this is? Especially as he was merely a District Attourney and probably never had any experience in fighting before.
Or is it down to the psychological impact he has on Batman?

Huh? Really? I haven't seen much of that. Usually it's been Two-Face's intellect or thugs that captured Batman although now I can see him maybe giving Batman a slight fight after being trained by him. After getting trained by Batman, he also got lessons from Deathstroke in shooting, and who knows what else Harv could be learning, making him even more dangerous.

Two-Face by Christian Ward, the artist for the extremely great Image's Olympus.

Two things (heh) I'd like to see posted:

The scene in no Man's Land where he acts as an entire courtroom, and the bit in Arkham Asylum where he's looking at the moon and crying.

So what do the fans think of Two-Face possible taking the role of Batman in his own twisted way? :P

Wow! that's great. Two-Face & Batman are similar to each other, it can work.

Indeed. I mean will he act like Punisher? Attacking cops and criminals and choosing their fate with his coin toss? Its an interesting question but yeah basicly in the latest issue of Batman. Dick Grayson has allowed securite cameras to see him so the public can go "ooh Batman's back!" but Two-Face does recognize its Nightwing under the cowl and not the real Batman, so he probably figures out who the Batman was since Bruce Wayne is gone.

Truthfully I think Two-Face dressing up like Batman is interesting but unnecessary. Especially considering how he is like a lethal version of Batman anyway.
Hates crime? Check.
Sees the world in black and white moral terms? Check.
Has a real complex about taking down the Mafia? A big check for that one.
He and Batman want the same world in the end, but the difference has always been that for Dent it's important that he is the one to make it happen.
So, whilst Batman does things out of selfless heroism, Dent does them because he has a messiah-complex.
Their similarities and differences are very interesting.

I was going to get this, but I already have the two Two-Face comics that are collected in this book. So I really had to ask myself if I wanted to pay that much just for the Scarecrow story. I have a five dollar coupon good till the end of the month, so I may pick this up now. If I don't get a Hellboy book I've been lookin' at first! :cwink:

Anyone pick up the recent Batman issue? What did you guys think?
