The Dark Knight Two Face Revealed

I noticed that also, and it made me happy :woot:

Yeah, the tendon is awesome. Seeing just part of Harvey's face makes me dread seeing all of it. He actually looks worse than that leaked picture.

:batman:So we're mostly all agreed here then? Everyone likes the direction in which Two Face is going?

Agreed. I love everything that I've seen from this movie so far.

"Very excited, Ray, very pleased."

As far as I know, I like it. Since they have said they are using TLH as reference, thats reassuring. The only thing I would be worried about is if they used B:TAS' origin in that Harvey already had a split-personality prior to his scarring, I really dont like that.

Well, it would be slightly more realistic to have some prior underlying trauma or mental illness for Harvey, not like in TAS (which I loved by the way) but to me I don't think they got some characters right but in other instances they got some characters SPOT on, Two Face being one of them. I forgot about the whole "Big bad Harv" idea...Which is horrible in the end, however, *??? possible spoilers for comic fans ???*

In the comics wasn't he responsible for his brother's death as a child? I could have sworn I read or heard that somewhere, and been subjected to alot of things that he suppressed.

I agree with this. He probably has a little darkness suppressed within him. Doesn't make him a bad guy...until the traumatic experience.

By the way, Eckhart confirms once again the acid scenario in the lates Total Film I bought today:

Dent becomes obsessed with chance, deciding his victims' fate on the toss of a defaced coin. "The randomness of what's happened to him can be summed up in the random toss of a coin," says Eckhart. "It's either/or. Some people think life is that way...Life can be so out of whack, sometimes you just think 'I can't see the pattern here, it's all chaos.'"

That's kind of cynical..."It is very cynical," says Eckhart, "But he's had acid poured on his face!"

Notice how he uses the word "poured". I think that stuff we see poured on the floor toward Dent isn't gasoline but acid. That's why so much of his face would have been affected (assuming some goon is pressing half of Dent's face on the floor). That's why half of his suit would be burned as well. And whoever the goon is holding Dent down isn't in a very safe position if that's gasoline about to be lit.

Speaking of pouring acid, anyone else put this together from the interview from the set visit where Eckhart is talking about getting into character and motivation?

He talks about asking himself 'what would make me want to kill this person?' etc, and uses an example of 'why am I pouring acid all over this guy?' Now I think that most took this as referencing HIS fate, but he is speaking about how HE would get himself into the mindset to do it.

Now, this makes me wonder if, as a poetic revenge if you will, Harvey kills one of the people responsible for his face by pouring acid all over THEM.

Nice and twisted way to get back at them don't you think?

Any who, Eckhart gives an example of how he would get into it by thinking it is water and the guy he's pouring it on just REALLY likes water, hehe.

If Two-Face SOMEHOW isnt as awesome as we hope for I will be very very surprised.

I don't know about the brother, but I do know his father beat him quite a bit. Not only that, but his father flip a coin to see if Harvey would get beaten or not. The trick was that it was a double sided coin, so Harvey always got beaten. This also planted the seeds for his eventual obsession with duality and chance.

Eckhart's voice still bothers me. He says, "Half" like a *****

I actually like his voice because it isn't like he changes his voice just because he was burned. That would be kind of silly if you think about it. He could be mad at some points because heck, his face is messed up now. But he shouldn't have a "Bad" voice just because he has changed.

Yeah, on that note he shouldn't have a split personality either just because his face got a little acid poured onto it.

Personally I am loving this movie more and more. The scarred side looks suitably, erm...crusty and I'm hoping that Eckhart can match the shocking visuals of his character. Thankfully he won't be a conventional criminal but rather a killer bent of revenge (Which always makes a lot of sense with the Two-Face character. He's still trying to achieve the same goals but is free of any moral restraint.

what's great about TDK so far. going by this clip and by the prologue...

is that it doesn't look like a comic book movie. it looks like a real movie. you know what i mean?

i know comic book movies are real movies. but this seems more moody and atmospheric like a big time crime drama or something. anyone agree?

Nolan's Batman is the new Godfather trilogy. Except, hopefully, the third wont suck.

Also, I love Eckharts Two-Face voice. He and Ledger have done fantastic voices for their characters.

I have a feeling his voice in that particular bar scene will probably change, It doesn't sound right.

What I find really intresting is with the way Nolan uses Batman's rogues gallery...We always want to see more, for instance

Joker: Batman's arch nemesis, the always aching thorn in his side, truly portrayed for the first time how he really is (though I loved Nicholsons, the only time I got the creeps with him was when he was talking to the roasted mob boss in Batman 89)

Scarecrow: He doesn't need his own storyline to truly scare, hence his name, and his motivation...And the fact he's actually off of his f-ing rocker...

Two Face: Holy freaking crap...Just amazing. The dynamics that combine all of those three in conjunction with the mob/gang wars makes it amazing...

BUT...I find myself wanting less Batman, and more of his villains to learn about him, instead of praying for a solid ten minutes with Bats, I want more villain time.

I don't have a problem with Dent's voice since it seems to be Harveys not Two-Face. The guy clearly addresses Dent, so Dent answers. I think Two-Face will come in here in there...

I agree (as usual Lucha:yay:). "Heat" meets "Freaks", this movie is going to be epic.

I don't know. It doesn't sound like Harvey, since his voice as Two-Face is more deeper & calmer. At least when I listen to how Aaron sound as Harvey in several trailers & his voice in the clip of Two-Face.

I can't believe anyone who is nitpicking that clip? My mouth just dropped when I saw it. Perfect voice, perfect delivery and the old man is great. The scene is bonechilling. With every bit of footage that is released I am more and more impressed. I don't know about everyone else but that's EXACTLY the kind of fear I wanted Two-face to evoke.

I can't nitpick. I think the clip is incredible.

That drink would totally burn his corpse mouth though.....just sayin.....

i think at that point he didn't care too much about pain, he was in enough of it to begin with lol but hey that just shows his entire persona. He is so angry inside that not even searing pain from alcohol on his scars is gonna stop him from being what he has become

Yeah, seriously, after having acid splashed on your face and then a hospital fire (perhaps?), I think pain would be the last thing you would get hot (no pun intended) over.

I think the clip is fine the way it is. That 'hello' line, after watching the clip multiple times, really got to me as creepy as hell. You can totally see he's not the white knight Harvey anymore. That Two-Face side is evidently merged with him now.
