Two-Part Batman: The Long Halloween Animated film possibly in the works?!

I think they will emulate his style. The Bourassa universe is over, no reason to not go with a Sale inspired style

If they don't do Tim Sale's design aesthetic, this will be a fail. They also need to look at the source and see that rim lighting and such aren't a big thing in his work. Color the source and they could have a really great 2 parter!

It was literally confirmed on an official panel.

It's been said here already numerous times, but successfully emulating Sale's art is a necessity, if they don't give us this in animated form then what's even the point?

I’m excited for this, absolutely. This announcement is giving me The Dark Knight Returns vibes, and that was a great two-parter. And the animators tried to capture the art style of the book.

Can’t wait to see who’s in the cast.

Where do we think the cut-off will be for the conclusion of Part 1?
Maybe after St. Patrick’s Day, with Catwoman & Batman squaring off against Poison Ivy? It might be a bit anticlimactic though, but then Part II could begin with Riddler guessing who Holiday is as a recap for audiences

Nah they will use the Man of Tomorrow Art because this will be the second of the new DC Animated Universe LOL

Good timing. The Batman is said to be heavily inspired by TLH

It’s all about capitalizing on the brand, Batman is a huge cash income for Dc, they always make profit so of course they’ll over saturated the public with so much Bat-content to guarantee it will sell.

Next year we have several Batman properties
The film
The video game
Two animated feature films

Don’t wanna get too ahead of myself here, but I would love to see Dark Victory as well. It’s just as good if not better than TLH.

Looking forward to seeing one of my favorite C-List villains, Calendar Man.

I just watched that episode “Mean Seasons” from TNBA again. It featured “Calendar Girl” and I thought she was honestly more interesting than Calendar Man ever was.

It’d be a slap in the face if they didn’t do Tim Sale’s design for this. I am so sick of the “house style” being used over all the films and was happy to hear that it was ending. To start up another just seems stupid. Especially when Darwyn Cooke’s and Ed McGuinness’ styles were both foowed for their films.

I could see Troy Baker voicing both Batman and Joker in this, since he did both roles in Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I also think Jensen Ackles could do a pretty good job as Batman. It would be nice to see them shake it up for this one.

I'd like to see Baker give a more nuanced Dent performance.

I honestly would prefer the BTAS voice cast for this with Sale’s design aesthetic. Celebrity casting always ends up falling short of being memorable or interesting.

Kind of holding out for David Dastmalchain for Joker, though! Would come full circle from his role in TDK.

Very excited for this. Quite possibly my favorite Batman story ever, and not only that but it seems like it'll come out not far from the release of The Batman.

God I’m so hyped for this. My favorite DC animated movie was TDKR 1&2. I hope that this movie similarly follows the source material like TDKR did.
I’m actually glad it’s not the DCAU voice cast and I’m even more glad that it’s not the DCAMU cast. Jason O’Mara is easily the worst modern Batman voice actor. I hated his Batman and never got used to it, even after like 10 animated movies.

Kevin Conroy & Bruce Greenwood are probably the best over all, but their voices work better for an older Batman.

Troy Baker & Roger Craig Smith are the two best voices right now for a younger Batman.

Anthony Ruivivar is still my favourite for a younger Batman voice. Wished he'd be given another shot.

Tim Sale’s Bruce Wayne / Batman is a big guy in design; I’d like the voice to be particularly imposing too.

I think the casting director can go a lot of fun directions with TLH.

I think it’ll be either Baker or Ackles.

Ackles as Batman? He has a really good voice, but I dunno that it's quite right. But I might be biased because I thought he made for a perfect Jason Todd.
