Its kinda funny... we've gon 3 movies (Fc Tw and Dofp) and the Xmen haven't been featured. Yes I know they made an appearance in dofp but the arc did not revolve around them

Very true. The franchise has gone away from a status quo that consists of X-men living at the mansion being teachers and superheroes for far too long.

I was watching X2 last night.... and I really missed seeing Jean/Storm/Scott being teachers and there was actually a X-Men team meeting mutants that would have eventually be part of their team (Wolverine/Rogue/Nightcrawler). Like I said before if I was the head of FOX, I would have chosen X4/X5/X6 to be made over the spin-offs that we got in 2009 to 2013. And I don't know if I would like to see Jean/Storm/Scott as kids or students for a couple of films. I prefer them as adults.

Well thanks to the events of X3 (death of Xavier, Scott & Jean) I don't think a X4-X6 would have happen cause of the negative response X3 got from hsrdcore fans. In a way these origins films are what saved the franchise. Now that DOFP has gixed what TLS f-d up, we can possibly get a X5 with the original cast of the studio wants it. I'm glad we're getting younger versions of the original 3.

I think if they were gonna make an X4 they would have done it no matter what the reviews were or how it was recieved

Problem is that is your only vision to what X-Men should be and thats not really how writing for movies work

There are no reasons to make sequels of X3 since this timeline is erased. The wolverine and events of 2023 in DOPF follow the continuity of X3. No need more.

But they can make new x-men movies with Marsden, Berry, Stewart, .. setting in present.
I found there are too many spin-offs - Deadpool, Gambit, Wolverine 3, New Mutants. Why not making more x-men movies ???

I said I would have taken a X4/X5/X6 after X3... not XOW/FC/TW. Not that I'm asking NOW to make sequels for X3 after what just happened in DOFP. Also I consider DOFP as X4... so I want a X-Men 5 to happen.

But back in 2003/2006, I definitely wanted X4/X5/X6 to happen after X3.

But I have to agree going backwards the past few years is probably what the franchise needed after the massive fumbles of WO and TLS.

Its probably good to see the Big 3 young. I really like them trying these things afresh and anew. First things it allows them to connect with a younger audience in a way a lot of CMB films simply can't right now. Seeing Cyclops grow into what he became will give him alot more clout in the eyes of the public as being a teacher at the school. I also have the past couple of movies have tied themselves to world history. It's pretty neat. I'm probably the only nerd that still gets the chills in FC after Kennedy's speech. It takes on so much more for the young FC team that are going to risk their lives in battle. Especially after witnessing Darwin's death.

I Look forward for things going back to the school. But Apocalypse being the villain changes things. This war is definitely gonna shake up the Big 3 more then any other villain would as a primary antagonist.

Not really since WO was already a period film and at the time... people werent excited for another prequel. The early buzz for First Class was not good despite the creative team behind it. Im pretty sure people still wanted a X4 during those days.

It just so happened that we got a great film with First Class and despite the film being the lowest grossing X-Men film in America... Fox gave the cast another shot due to its critical acclaim though surprisingly the Ot cast showed up for its sequel which made people really excited and helped the buzz for the film.

We don't need, nor is it a good idea, to have two sets of same characters running simultaneously.

4 spinoffs is "too many" ??? We're getting X-Men Apocalypse and by all accounts this is going to be the beginning of the X-Men. The beginning of a new cast who will be anchoring this series for years to come. So we'll be getting more X-Men movies. They can't make them every year.
