Oooh, 5 whole centimeters. You're talking about less than two freaking inches. Unless you're an incredibly picky woman and talking about something a little further south on the guy, two inches is absolutely nothing that can't be covered up with shoe lifts or camera tricks. God, the last thing fanboys need are to have a size queen label attached to them as well, but you're certainly giving it a run for its money.![]()
Also it's film, so...they can make whoever look however tall.
Absolutely agree.
Tom Hardy towered over everyone in The Dark Knight Rises ... he's 5'9".

Robert Downey Jr. is on the same level as Captain America (6'0") in The Marvel Cinematic Universe ... he's 5'9".
Ian McKellen certainly is't several feet taller than all the other actors in The Lord of the Rings flicks and he towered over all of them.
An actor's height is never an issue in films any more. The look and/or body type they have could be an issue though -- but still to a much lesser extent, since the diet and workout plans actors have available to them these days can change their look dramatically. Look at Chris Hemsworth before he was cast as Thor and now when he films ... or Andrew Garfield. They both got into the perfect shape to embody the characters they were tasked to play. It's really incredible what camera tricks, diet, personal training (and sometimes steroids) can do to a person with the will to see it through.
Tye Sheridan just has to worry about being a great actor -- and Kinberg better have delivered on a solid characterization of Cyclops and made up for his last effort with the character in X3: The Last Stand, and the costume department will develop a look that is flattering, Singer will shoot him in the best ways and the trainers will develop him to look the part.
It can very easily be done.

I wouldnt go that far. The guy looked short in the film. What he had was muscle to make him appear bigger, but height most definitely wasnt it. He defintely wasnt "towering" over everyone

Just watched Mud and Tye was really good. I'm 100% behind him playing Cyke now.
