I searched for a thread on this, but came up nothing...hope i'm not remaking a thread. Especially it being my first thread here...

Anyway, I went and picked up my comics today and I was just curious if anyone else managed to snag the USM 100 Project too. For those of you not in the know, when USM hit the 100 issue milestone, they (Marvel and HERO) got many different artists to contribute a custom cover for the 100th issue that they auctioned off to benefit the HERO Initiative.

Overall, I love my copies (I got 2, it was for a good cause). I keep looking through it all day today. There are some great images in there, and some surprise names too. It was interesting to see Bendis and Neil Gaiman (!!) draw Spidey. Right now it's hard for me to pick out a fav piece as I think they are each really unique in there own ways.

I wish that McFarlane would ahve allowed his piece to be published in this collection and it really bothered me that McGuiness did 2 pieces, and neither one of them was a Spidey image, and they were characters that had nothing to do with Spidey at all  :(

Anyway, hopefully some of you have picked this up for the sheer fun of it, and again, it also goes to a good cause. Looking forward to hearing other posters' thoughts on this :)

I also picked this up, I was surprised McFarlane's cover was not in it as well, I loved all of the art in included, really nice to see all these artist's draw Spidey, some who I never recall working on any Spidey book's.:yay:

Aloha,
Just ordered a copy the other day in HC.
Spidey rules

where did you order it from, may I ask? my comic store seemed to not get any in.

WHAT? Is McFarlane THAT much of a tool that he can't even have a sketch in a charity book that has mothing to do with Spawn/Image and has everything to do with Spidey/Marvel?

Daaaaaaaammmmmmnnnnn!

That sucks, his sketch was badass

I heard that the HERO Initiative helped out Neil Gaiman to fight Todd McFarlane for the Miricleman licences. Maybe that's why he doesn't want his cover to be included?

is there a link to any of these images? i don't think i've seen them and can't find them anywhere.
