Damn he looks like a twig there. I'll never get used to how much mass he puts on.

It's the angle, dudes. He looked jacked in the SNL promos.

Man, it's really jarring to see his dramatic transformations. His muscle memory must be insane.

For those of you that missed it, here are his skits on SNL -

Just a couple of thoughts, first, he was still "jacked" so don't be fooled by photo
angle.
Two, in the Avengers skit they mention a spoiler about Jane hmmmmm, do
the writers of SNL know something that we were not supposed to know, did they
Accidentally let a spoiler out?

The same reason Frost Giants were bigger in "Thor" than in the trailers. Same reason the chitauri didn't appear in The Avengers trailer even though their blasts were.

Same reason lighting was added to Thor's ground smash in TDW when there was none in the trailer.

Actually the Chitaui were in the trailers :P

Noticed that as well, however I doubt it, Marvel pre-approved everything that was said in the skit...
Hemsworth I believe debunked the rumor a while back during one of his interviews...Probably a little misdirection to get people talking..
Portman is contracted to be in the third installment so to break them up off screen would be a bit awkward for the writers to deal with in Thor 3...

These skits are hilarious :lmao: Thanks for posting :yay:.

About that spoiler I wouldn't read in it too much. These are jokes. If they are right, ok, if not, so what. I don't think it's a real spoiler.

Ehh, SNL kinda sucked this week, as it does so often nowadays
but Hemsworth acquitted himself well though

dude does not break, and is much better at reciting dialogue than most of the cast members

not a great dancer though, that Thor

What's the writing on Hems' arm???

What's the writing on Hems' arm???
On his forearm? That tattoo I believe it's the first name initials of him and his family (they're not all necessarily oriented the same way). So him, Elsa, India, Tristan and Sasha (the twins).

Did anyone else notice when Thor high fives the reporter it causes the reporter to scream in pain?

I thought that was a very cool nod to Thor's super strength.

yeah it's "C or K, E, I, T, S. I swear he said what it meant back during Thor.

I want to see the whole show dangit

Here in Germany it airs at saturday, :awesome: Had no idea, that SNL is shown over here.

Actually the Chitaui were in the trailers :P

If I remember correctly, we didn't get a glimpse of them until the Superbowl spot and the trailers afterwards. Before that, there was the first theatrical trailer that featured plenty of explosions during the final battle, but no signs of Chitauri. That's probably what they're referring to by no Chitauri.

Such as the shot (0:25) where the entire street gets blown up. In the movie, you clearly see Loki on a Chitauri chariot, leading a fleet down the street, razing it from beginning to end. Plus, they freaking re-use a shot from IM1.

I think it just goes to show that trailers are so cut up and fabricated for marketing, and it's so easy for them to remove vfx elements from whatever footage they give the marketing crew (either because it's not screen ready, or they want to hide something), that we should take a lot of these little details (like Thor supposedly being hurt by a small explosion) with a grain of salt.

I think they didn't have the chitauri in the first trailer because the VFX wasn't ready yet.

I remember a huge amount of hype and speculation regarding the chitauri, (I think some people were hoping that they might even be scrulls) because there were no clear shots of them in most trailers. I think there was even a thread devoted to discussing who Loki's "army" was, and what they might look like.

So, yeah, there was a lot missing CGI before A1's release, and I'm sure that's the case here aswell.

Some thought they were Skrulls, some thought they were undead Asgardians, some thought they were undead Skrulls, some thought they shot fire out of their eyes because of that one shot in the trailer where cinders blow past the one clinging to the wall, etc.
