Age of Ultron Ultron! We Would Have Words With Thee! Official Thor/Chris Hemworth Thread - Part 1

This is the thread dedicated to everyone's favorite Asgardian powerhouse. Let's discuss what you want to see and hear from Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Hopefully he gets more screentime, character development, and more things to do than he did in the Avengers.

Agreed, however I still think Thor should come out on top in the end...If he doesn't who pray tell on the team will?
Ultron needs to be established as the only Foe that cannot be defeated one on one....

I got the impression from Hemsworth's interview this week that Thor is absent from the team for a while. I guess this is when Vision first appears and does some serious damage. Thor returns, has a serious battle with Vision and wins.

Ultron hurting Thor after this will really establish how much of a threat he is.

Just posting Thor's character poster for the new thread :woot:

I hope that Vision's power is established against the entire team in their first encounter with him. Him, together with other foes, could both surprise and overwhelm them.

Imo it's cooler if Thor goes up against Vision when he's already established and Thor is chosen to try to deal with him after they've had time to assess what happened the last time. It sets the stakes higher and therefor makes the fight more special

Agreed

This is exactly how I want their fight to come about.

It cannot be stated enough on how MUCH of an improvement Thor's (and Cap's) costume is from his previous Avengers's outfit.

Especially Cap's but yeah Thor's is a big improvement as well.

Also, whoever brought up the theory of Thor being sent by the group to deal with Vision (prior to him changing sides) due to them knowing on how much of a threat he is with Ultron in control of him.....I really like it and hope to see it play out like that on film.

It would also give a good reason why Thor wasn't sent to deal with the hulk since Thor is the only one that possesses enough power on his own, without the usage of technology for Vision to capitalize on, whereas Hulk can at least be somewhat dealt with by means of the Hulkbuster.

Speaking of that, what if Vision starts out as a creation of Tony/Bruce to be the ultimate member of their patrol force. But when Ultron goes rogue, he hijacks Vision and instills him programming that makes him go awry, and have to deal with which side is right. It would explain Vision's color scheme as well.

I think I what rather Ultron flat out create Vision, I don't want Banner/Stark to creating everything.

I'd also prefer if phasing technology isn't within Stark's grasp since that should lead to it being used in a bunch of other technology.

ooo nice new thread just as the images are coming out :more:

Agreed

Stark has to have some type of limits.

Okay
Is this pic a toy..
Or just extremely heavy on the make-up and the airbrusing??

I swear he looks plastic
I think it's because it's a 'cutout' - there's no natural background meaning no reference, just the white and so it makes it look a bit more 'artifical'

That? Is a GORGEOUS pic of Monsieur Hemsy!

RAWARGH!

My (unfounded) assumption is that the phasing ability is something ultron cooks up using alien tech. Though it begs the question: why not add the ability to himself?

I know, right?... and for some reason the arm that's holding Mjolnir is just really getting to me :funny: those muscles are EXACTLY the reason I love the sleeveless look on him :hubba

He probably knows it's flaws or finds it "weak", you know some stupid super villain excuse.

Damn; did anyone else love Thor's "Is that the best that you can do?" line in the new trailer?lol

Yeah, and Ultron essentially going "nope, not even close" non-verbally was awesome as well.

Idk, feels a little too similar to the "anyone else?" line from TDW
I would've rather heard the line that is the title of this thread

(unless of course that one's coming at a more epic moment)

Who's to say that we won't hear it at some point?
