Age of Ultron Ultron! We Would Have Words With Thee! Official Thor/Chris Hemworth Thread - Part 1

Thought Thor stole the show here this go around.

Without a doubt. Everyone had their time to shine, but Thor had so many great moments of all varieties (action, character, and humor), that he really came across in a way that a Thor fan can be proud of!

But...but thor was so awesome.

Nope I did not like it at all, I LOVED it.

Thor was so damn funny in this film. Hemsworth nailed every facial expressions. Thor also kicked ass. Hemsworth never looked more "Thor" aswell. I don't think he quite stole the show. For me that was Ultron and Hawkeye, but he was no slouch.

Thor finally generated lightning without Mjolnir (pool scene).

He also does it to a greater extent in his vision. :thor:

LOL. I suspected BigThor was joking.

Does he say "thankfully, I'm mighty" or "fortunately, I'm mighty"?
Either way, one of my favourite lines :D

I'm 99% sure it's ''fortunately''.
Great line!

I don't get why there wasn't the "We would have words with thee" line. It wouldn't have seemed cheesy.

I think in Ragnorok we will get more of an explanation and more of Thor's true power. Also, Fiege said how important it is, so hopefully it could be the next winter soldier. I mean, they gave Thor a good film showing in Age of Ultron, may make people more interested in the character.

I did find Thor's power level not consistent at times during the movie..
mainly during the final battle when Ultron called him out...
The way Ultrons power level was represented Thor should have been able to knock him around instead of being quickly overcome with a chock hold merely to make Vision look good using his hammer.....
Other than that Thor was a power house...

Vibranium Ultron seemed vastly more powerful than previous versions.

He overpowered Vision hand to hand forcing him to use his beam with Thor and IM to joining in.

I liked the part where he was distracting Ultron. "i'm... running out of things to say... ARE YOU READY?!"

BOOOOOM!

This is the Thor i want to see in his solo films.

I love how the overall power levels are increasing into comfort.
As this is happening, it seems like they are starting to display Thor's overall power compared to the rest of the team. The fact that it may seem they have to write a certain situation to maybe nerf Thor a bit suggests the acknowledgement within the MCU that he's the super man of the MCU.

I loved the line and the attitude, but I'd have preferred Ultron to be more powerful than that. I think they painted themselves into a corner letting have a reasonable bash against Ultron one on one so Thor would therefore easily be able to take some punches from this Ultron.

Dude Thor finally generated lightning without Mjolnir when he was in that pool.

I am soooo hyped about that!

I honestly thought this was Thor's best movie, IMO. I haven't felt anything but ambivalence for the character on film in the past. Here he really came into his own.

It's interesting that his vision implies that his true power is so strong it could be the main reason of Asgard's end.

Man I really hope they follow through on that idea in Ragnarok.

Great to see that you enjoyed it. Having seen the movie myself I knew something had to be up when you first said "no". ;)

I had thought that we might get a bit less awesome Thor since it's an Avengers movie but they really got it right.

Will definitely see this movie again, I found the sound to be a bit soft at my local Theatre ...I liked it better than first movie.....Lets just hope they find a Director who will bring Thor full circle....And yes I thought Thor stole the show..Loved the lego moment with the little kid...as well as the Girlfriend bragging rights duel...
