Age of Ultron Ultron! We Would Have Words With Thee! Official Thor/Chris Hemworth Thread - Part 1

I don't get why there wasn't the "We would have words with thee" line. It wouldn't have seemed cheesy.

Especially because they had the perfect opportunity with

Thor stalling Ultron while Vision awoke to grab Mjolnir. He could've said it right before he literally started spewing words out till he had no more. Would've been a great homage and added a bit more to that gag!

We need more of the Thor/Vision bromance in the future, it was cool. Hell, Vision even modeled his cape after Thor.

Agreed. I can't say this enough! I would love to see more of them together, chatting and caping it up.

Man as a Thor fan I am extremely pleased with Thor's role in this film. He was a standout to me along with Hawkeye and Quicksilver. (Actually everyone had a chance to shine. I will truly miss Whedon and his ability to balance all these characters.)

I love that Thor is the one who's getting wise to something being up with the Infinity Gems. Loved his inclusion among the Big Three at the end. And his increased use of the lightening. Ultron focusing on him alone because he recognized him as the biggest physical threat. Thor's humor. The Vision bromance. It's all awesome.

I too would've loved some variation of the "words with thee" line though. Minus the old English of course - that just wouldn't fit with the MCU Thor. But that to me is a nitpick. Can't wait for Thor: Ragnarok!

Meh, I'll wait until I see the movie. From the clips and trailers Marvel released, it looks like Thor's jobbing at his usual rate, even getting KO'd by Quicksilver in one of the clips. Until I see the movie, I remain unconvinced.

Okay Debbie Downer.

I'm entitled to my own opinion.

Of course but seriously - you haven't even seen the movie. With such predisposed negativity you may still be disappointed but at the moment your opinion doesn't count.

Hah, Thor definitely does not get KO'd by Quicksilver. He's barely staggered by him, in fact.

You've got to see it. I don't think it's just one or two of us, but most Thor fans seem to be very happy with Thor in this film. He definitely gets his due, and I don't see him as a jobber at all in AoU. He's the big gun.

Do you know when you're going to check it out? Come back and let us know what you think.

I think you will especially love Thor's line to Tony (spoiler):

"Jane is better."

Right there with ya, R'n'R (about all of it, but especially the next chapter in the Thor trilogy!). Can't wait! Hopefully they'll announce a director soon.

His opinion isn't backed by facts; it's downright wrong.

Thor getting KO'd by Quicksilver?

Lol Thor barely felt him, the only people he knocked down were Cap and Hawkeye.

That isn't even an actual thing. It didn't happen.

I think most Thor fans should be content with Thor's showings in this film (I know i am:yay:)
His durability should no longer be questioned and his power and strength be no joke lol
Also i like that he didn't seem as sluggish in his combat as he used to (IMO)

Actually, I don't think his power and strength were ever a joke in the MCU.

You know what I was just thinking? I want an Asgardian flask like the one Thor had in the party scene. (I'd also want a stein like the one Volstagg had in TDW, but we don't get a super clear look at it.) :)

My apologies lol i never meant they were ever a joke. i meant it like his power and strength are not any funny business or to be taken lightly.

Most anticipated MCU film for me by far. I'm hoping for Branagh but yeah with all the announcements going around I expect to hear something over the next month or so...

You know what I love the most about these films - seeing the heroes mix it up. The budding friendships and all the little character moments that hearken back to the comics. Like Tony and Thor comparing girlfriends. Tony getting snarky with Cap over his intolerance of profanity. Thor declaring the need for revels after the mission and later sharing Asgardian libations with his friends. Seeing the Big Three: Thor, Tony and Steve together at the end literally warmed my heart. So awesome.

I'm sure there are more moments that I missed. Can't wait to see the movie again!!
