This is the thread dedicated to everyone's favorite Asgardian powerhouse. Let's discuss what you want to see and hear from Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Hopefully he gets more screentime, character development, and more things to do than he did in the Avengers.

I think his powers will be more fleshed out. Hopefully more flying from him. Seeing how this is a "global event", I see a necessity for more flying.

While Man of Steel isn't my cup of tea, they truly nailed the 'destruction' such a powerful being should cause. Thor actually looks weak in comparision, I would like for them to power him up.

Weak by comparison because he had the awareness to not put humans in harms way?

Regardless of Man of Steel I think we can all agree that we want to see a little better representation of Thor. They did a better job from Thor to Marvel's The Avengers. Hopefully he gets amped up in Thor: The Dark World and then again in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

He held his own with an enraged hulk and took out half a dozen leviathans singlehandedly. Personally I was satisfied.

Im okay with them upping his power levels a bit, but not exponentially. Supes in MoS would be too much imo. We'll see how it goes in T:TDW.

I really want that line in the film.

I'd like to see him really do something impressive with the Hammer, obviously with an eye to why he doesn't do this all the time, but show that he is much more than just a bruiser with a blast.

Yeah his strength was comparible to Hulk who stopped a giant space whale with one punch. Just because his strength wasn't shoved down your throat as much as MOS doesn't mean he was "weak".

I agree, I'd like to see Thor's powers amped up a bit in each film.

I'm hoping he delivers the final blow.

Not only the final blow, I want him to give Ultron the best fight out of all of The Avengers. It was that was in the comics and Avengers: EMH so it would make perfect sense.

Was just randomly thinking about that scene where Banner finally shows up and Hulks out on the Leviathan. Could you imagine how awesome it would've been to see have Thor handling that with his Mjolnir? I mean we already saw Thor send Hulk flying with an uppercut using it. Imagine if he put some stank on that swing and hit a Leviathan in the face like that.

That would have been great. As for the other comment, Thor caused destruction. He destroyed the freakin bridge in 6 blows....and destroyed like a city sized landscape in that frost giant fight, remember that? That's far and away the biggest display of destructive power in the MCU so far. I think it's pretty clear that Thor is "The guy"

Wonder how long it would take Hulk to destroy the rainbow bridge? :bh: :cwink:

Seriously though, i don't want any Avenger displaying the type of power superman did in Man of Steel. It was a huge turnoff for me. I'm gonna get a good chuckle watching them dilute Superman's power in Man of Steel 2 just to make it possible for Batman to compete with him. The brilliant thing about Marvel is that they've done an excellent job in not making characters so powerful that it neutralizes the effectiveness of others. It's a fine balance that Man of Steel failed at IMO.

Yeah he used one hand when he sent Hulk flying, imagine if he used both hands and smacked the leviathan.

Ya, I do appreciate how careful they have been about it. Otherwise it's just power-porn or in MoS's case "disaster porn".

Good points, both of you

I don't want 'disaster porn'. But I don't want to see Thor getting out of the way of the bullets of an F-22 like in The Avengers.

LOVE the thread title! If you hear a squeal as the line comes up, that'll be me.

I'm just wondering what exactly will Thor be bringing WITH this next time around after TDW. I mean he shouldn't be as underpowered as he was from Darkmatter since they're using the cube to transport back and forth. Not to mention what extra powers it looks like he might be getting from TDW

God's blood, I hate that phrase.

I can see an intial fight where Ultron TESTS the avengers, uses another body then figuring out to neutralise each hero. So Thor would have to fight without Mjolnir

Superman dived out of the way of a jet in MOS, so I'm okay with that now.

Thanks, I just thought about Thor not having a thread in this section and that line popped into my head.

That would be a good reason to show more of Thor's strength w/o Mjolnir, although I would like for him to finish it with Mjolnir.

I would love to see Thor's powers amped up. even to MoS levels, I wouldn't have a problem lol
