The only thing I hate about U2 and U3 is how freaking hard it is for me to find the godamn optimal game in MP, sometimes. I've been looking for an hour for one and it's still looking. I don't have this problem with my other games.
Anyone up for some MP tonight? If so, just message me.
I could use a friend for some co-op missions. I'm on right now and I'll probably be on later tonight.
PSN: Jick10

I'm always up for a game when I have the free time, especially Co-op. Add me- gizmo1024.

Naughty Dog crapped out the story for that one, didn't they? Hanging plot threads, contrivances, unnecessary sequences (the ship graveyard anyone?), lack of villain motivation and development... did they even try?
the speculation is that news that they split the team and had half the crew working on The Last of Us is possible reason for why the story wasnt nearly as strong here. Neil Druckmann, one of the lead designers and writers from UC2, didnt work on UC3. He instead is TLoU's lead creative director. I think the drop in quality seen by many in UC3 is no coincidence knowing now whats been going on behind the scenes

In the next game I want to see Nathan Drake in New York, location the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a chase in the city's streets.

I say send him to Chicago. :o

why not both? Next game needs to take place exclusively in North America. Id also send him to the Grand Canyon and Floridian swamps. A set piece around a Hawaiin volcano would also be awesome

Yeah, we actually haven't seen Drake in any kind of modern American setting. It's always been some kind of jungle or foreign town.

That'd be awesome if there was a set piece around a active volcano with the lava. ND could totally pull that off. I wouldn't mind some underwater sequences too.

Both would be great.

What new tech could they develop? They've done water, ice and snow, fire and sands. I think they could do something with the mist and the wind. This way they could bring on tornatos and hurricanes for big action sequences too.

i don't know what else ND can do i just hope that in the next game the levels can have enviornments from the past Sand, Water, Snow and Fire. With the addition of a Metropolitan areas like New York or Chicago the Grand Canyon Vegas or even L.A.

A nice Hollywood chase scene does sound nice. Plenty of myths still left to choose from though.

They just did "the Atlantis of the sands", but not actual Atlantis itself. Imagine exploring an abandoned, dark Atlantis tunnel, the lights go dark as something passes overhead, the lights come back and a dinner plate size eye is staring you down. Then you run through the glass halls as a Kraken breaks them as water floods in. Then you have to swim from flooded cooridors as great whites try to chomp you.

The modern day stuff can always be incorporated as early story stuff. Like tracking down a lead which turns into the above mentioned car chase down a busy highway. Jumping from car to car, and shooting. Or go more like National Treasure and have Drake illegally checking for hidden leads on national monuments and documents.

They planned some under water stuff when they did the concept work for DF, but it never made it past concept art. I would love it if we had something like that in the 4th installment.

I think it would be great if they actually took things to the Bermuda Triangle with Drake being caught in a Tsunami and trying to escape it. That would make for quite an exciting chapter. Of course he would be caught and find himself wound up in the lost city of Atlantis, hidden beyond some underwater caverns

Got U3 for Christmas. Really enjoying it so far. I loved the mission with Drake as a kid.

I was supportive of the idea of the real Atlantis for the next game, but we had so many action sequences with water, specially in the third game, that I don't think it needs to be the next step.

Have we ever heard of a lost city above the clouds? I think that would be something really interesting to do. Like I said before, make the new tech revolve around the wind and the mist and everything related to that.

I just want them to hammer out the story for the next game. Let's get another story that's as strong as Uncharted 2 was. The tech and the set pieces should come naturally out of that.

They probably use more foreign places because it has a more retro feel to it while still being firmly set in present day. A guy having to fend for himself in some middle eastern dead zone is a cooler adventure than him fighting his way through an American city where there are countless resources at his disposal I guess.

I wouldn't mind seeing Great Wall of China or The Pyramids in the next game

I really want them to delve deeper into Nate's past. Have him go back to St. Francis and start from there. The entire story doesn't have to revolve around it, but mix it in there somehow. They left so many things unanswered and there are a ton of possibilities. Who was his father? What's his real name? Did his mother really commit suicide? Does he have any siblings? I think he owes it to himself and Elena (especially since they are married now) to find out these things.

Yep they really do need to explore Drakes past in the next one i like how they sorta hinted at it in U3

I loved the second game but final boss battle was annoying. Is U3 better than U2?

You'll get a range of answers from here but I would say yes. It's as least as good as the second.
