I haven't had any trouble, not even popping textures. Try a reinstall?

I originally pre-ordered this game from Amazon but ended up canceling it last month. But for some reason Amazon emailed me an unlock code for all the pre-order goodies. :awesome: I still haven't bought the game though. :csad: I'm really trying to wait for it to drop in price.

I played for like 5 hours strait, the game is outstanding!!!:awesome::up: Chapter two was awesome and a surprise, the chateau, HOLY CRAP that was awesome and intense!!!:up: I stopped at the citadel because I gotta get some sleep but the game is just ridiculously awesome, especially in 3D!!!:D:up:

I stopped at Ch 13 because I need some sleep, but holy freaking crap chapter 12 was so awesome. And to think, I haven't even gotten to any of the highly anticipated stuff that we've seen in the trailer. Can't wait to continue this in the morning.

Started syria. Comparing 2 and 3 so far i feel like 2 is better but i have a feeling i will change my mind once i get into the story more.

Halfway through 3, I feel like 2 was a flawed game. Not that it was bad, but it just can't be compared to 3. Sorta how as good as the first one was, it can't be compared to 2 because of the improvements.

I dont know what it is, but iv been completely underwhelmed by this game so far. Im up to ch 10 and pretty much every step of the way iv felt Among Thieves was better. Maybe its because the game has a little, been there done that feeling? I dont know. I mean i still feel the game is fantastic, I'm just not as blown away as i was when i played 2. Maybe that will change as i get further along.

Now i know I'm not that far in to the story, [BLACKOUT]but the whole Elena/Drake on again, off again thing is REALLY getting tiresome. I mean how many times can these two get together, then break up, then get back together then break up again and keep running into each other. It's like the same record playing over and over again.[/BLACKOUT]

I havent noticed them. Outside of some new animations i really dont see many improvements from two to three. I deff think 2 was a larger step forward than 3 is.

I'm going to guess [BLACKOUT]It was to make it seem less predictable since you'd expect them to be together after the last one. I mean we find out she has a ring that she still wears, which could imply that they were engaged at some point, but I'm assuming that as the story continues, we'll find out why they didn't go through with it. But it's not like they were dating in between the first and second, so they weren't really on and off.[/BLACKOUT]

Well obviously, the gameplay is exactly the same, minus the new improvements and emphasis to melee. And there were bigger jumps graphically and visually between the first two. The changes are much more subtle in this one, but I think there's a certain strength in story and how it's presented in this one that makes me feel like this one has definitely upped the ante from the last one.

I'm working on this ridiculous puzzle with the body parts, but I'm loving this game. The story is even an improvement on the last game, and there have been better 'hollywood moments' than the other two games, with a sequence that reminded me a lot of the opening sequence of The Last Crusade. This is easily as good as 2, probably better.

Oh ya, loved the way they took Arkham's simple combat system, it's way more fun to melee in this game compared to the last two.

Is it just me, or do the puzzles seem less obvious this time around. Like I found myself stuck for a few minutes on a couple of them already.

Also, the only thing that I'm hating is [BLACKOUT]those damn creepy crawlers. I hate seeing them everywhere.:cmad::csad:[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]But they were dating between the 1st and second game. There was clear dialog in the 2nd game indicating this. [/BLACKOUT]

It just seems like they are redoing what they just finished doing in the 2nd game. Maybe that's not the case tho.

Yea, I'm loving the puzzles. They are finally giving me a challenge.

Anyone else having issues? Some of my textures arent loading p. For example, Im getting the prompt to look at my journal and the images are blurry. I just ran into a ditch where I walked into a black abyss and fell down and when I went to go back to the main menu, its taking forever to load and I had to manually shut down my PS3

I had pop-in textures after the flashback chapter when they were walking in the alley.

[BLACKOUT] To me, it sort of suggested that Nate and Elena sort of have a John/Holly McClane like relationship, where they know they love each other but can't seem to stop... well, keeping away from each other.

With the stakes raised so much in Uncharted 3 though it really brings into light how Nate is actually the more selfish of the two. There are some key scenes later on that make this 'break up' feel a lot different from the last. [/BLACKOUT]

Hm, interesting. Yea i guess i gotta keep playing, see where things head.

I played for a bit last night before and after SoA. I'm working from home today, so its been REAL hard to not say "f it" and play the game some more.

I'm in Syria right now, and I would agree that so far, nothing seems to incredibly superior to Uncharted 2, but it's certainly NOT a bad thing. U2 was such an amazing game, its hard to top it. having a game that (so far) is it's equal is fine by me. The graphics do seem a little bit better, with a more cinematic presentation. And I loved seeing some back story between Nate and Sully.

I do hope that they explain whats going on between
Nate, Chloe and Elana; I was totally surprised to see Chloe pop up with no explanation at to the events between Uncharted 2 and this.

I still consider Syria the intro is the thing. Working you back into the basics and then it really kicks off.

*not looking at any spoilers, not looking at any spoilers*

I gave in and bought this off of amazon today. I should get it by Friday.

Just finished the game, excellent as expected. From a story point of view I do agree with Pat that the [BLACKOUT] Elena/Nate thing is a bit problematic. If they can't stay together because she doesn't approve of his life of treasure hunting/thieving and he doesn't want to give it up, they've got a problem. We'll see what their situation is in Uncharted 4. [/BLACKOUT]

As for the story itself I was really digging it up until the very last bit when the entire thing kind of ended in anticlimax. I actually preferred the confrontation with the crazy Russian General in 2 rather than [BLACKOUT] skinny English guy with a knife [/BLACKOUT] at least the former had the narm of "DRAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!"

Still, as I said excellent as expected.

Totally agree that [BLACKOUT]the ending fight wasn't as strong as U2's, but then again, that was one of the few complaints critics had against that game. I really enjoyed that fight. I still like this one because I was emotionally charged as I really thought they were going to kill off Sully as I climbed up the rock, but Lazaravic was a better battle. [/BLACKOUT]

You won't regret it. :)

I just finished it just now too, and [BLACKOUT]I too was surprised at how easily it ended. There was no real Boss Battle, but at the same time the games have never been about a boss battle. It's mostly been about shootout and quick final confrontations. Although the ending of 2 did change that and was more exciting. But regardless, I still rank this higher than the game as a whole.[/BLACKOUT]

In a way, I liked [BLACKOUT]what they did with Nate and Elena. Yes on/off romances are annoying, but I liked it because it made sense. Obviously it would be hard for a guy like Drake to just settle down so easily because of his obsession with treasure hunting and stuff. And I think this game dealt with his internal struggle pretty well. He was being selfish and wasn't really considering how it was affecting not just himself and Elena, but also Sully. And I too felt like they had foreshadowed his death a lot so I was surprised to see how they did that, but tricked us to some extent. My only gripe was not enough Elena, but then again this was Nate and Sully's story so I'm okay with it.[/BLACKOUT]

What's the co-op in this game like? How many players can you have? Are there missions or just vs. type stuff? I rented the game but I can't access any online stuff since I need a stupid access code!
