Anyone notice that htey slightly altered Elena's face? Her eyes are different. They seemto be smaller and a bit more angular. Its a minor change but it does make her look differently, at least to me. It also makes her look younger

I'm pretty sure that, just like the 'reason' she has the ring on etc, is because she doesn't have any makeup on in Yemen. Naughty Dog are meticulous with that kind of detail.

Thats definetly not a no makeup thing. The shape of her eyes and their spacing are actually different. I dont know if you can tell the difference but here's a comparison of her render from UC2 and now

Yeah, there were a few times where I thought she looked a little asian in U3. It's definitely something in the eyes, which is something they seemed to have fixed from the last game in terms of all of the characters.

I can't wait for them to release the art book though. I have the one from U2 and even though I wish there were more character models than environment designs, I like the art in it.

I noticed there was something slightly different about her face. But I figured they just changed her slightly to make each game have a distinct look. Drake looks a little different to me, too. Sully's also totally gray this time instead of salt-&-pepper.

Starting the campaign on crushing got to Syria and it's not that bad as i thought it would be

Here's something I've idly wondered about since U2: what ethnicity is Chloe supposed to be? I remember seeing someone suggest Jaime Murray, a snow-white English actress, for Chloe in an Uncharted film, and I was like, "Isn't Chloe supposed to be olive-skinned with dark hair?" I thought she was supposed to be Indian or maybe Arabic when I first saw her, or maybe Maori given her accent. Anyone know if Naughty Dog has ever talked about where Chloe's supposed to be from or what her ethnic background's supposed to be?

I remember seeing an interview with Claudia Black where she said something about Naughty Dog wanting an actress with an indeterminate accent/ethnicity to play Chloe. I don't think were supposed to fully know.

Yeah, she said that Naughty Dog was looking for someone with an accent that "could be South African, could be English, could be Australian" and she thought it was perfect because she could do all three. So I don't think they want us to know.

She's Australian... Maori's aren't Australian. She could be part Italian or something... As an aussie, she could really have ANY background, it's a fairly multicultural place.

Also, with Elena's eyes, she's wearing Middle Eastern eye make up, that's why they look different for the most part, that and all the characters have slightly tweaked facial designs (especially Chloe)

Btw, fun fact, the guy who voices Charlie also voiced Lazaravic and the guy who voices Talbot also voice Navarro :P

Speaking of Talbot, I'm doing my second playthrough on crushing now, and I've come to the reason that I HATE the Syria level for the following reasons...

First of all, as far as game design goes, it's not up to Naughty Dog's usual standard. Some very basic shooting gallery pieces and then a fairly rudimentary puzzle.... Also, the Spider bit was really lame, like the Lego Indiana Jones game :P

But that was only minor, the real reason the level bugs me is there are so many plot holes or just teasing things that amount to NOTHING. First of all, after Talbot drugs Charlie, he disappears and everyone goes "Where did he go? That's not possible!" Then he gets shot, full on, in the chest and collapses and everything, then is fine later. Then there's the whole bizarre thing with the flaming tower tarot card......

NONE OF THESE THINGS EVER GET ADDRESSED OR EXPLAINED AT ALL! What the hell?!?!

Are they just meant to be annoying red herrings to make us THINK he's supernatural? Because if so, that's still pretty darn lame.

Just finished it and man what an amazing game. I already praised the graphics but this really is the best out there on a console. The Syria levels towards the end are especially amazing. The tech used for all the segments where the terrain is moving around you are phenomenal.

Damn, ND sure fooled me as I thought [BLACKout]Sully was dead.[/BLACKout] How many lives is this guy gonna get in one game? LOL

Talbot is a POS. I really thought he was a weasel and couldnt stand him. I much prefferred Flynn. Too bad he's dead, bc I wouldnt have minded seeing him return. On the otherhand, Cutter was an awesome new addition to the gang.

One thing I will say I didnt like was that it seemed as if there were more puzzles this game and they were harder, at least early on. I also wish there was an actual boss fight at the end and no I dont really qualify what they had as much of one.

I kinda like the supernatural bad guys they introduced but too bad [blackout]they ended up being fake[/blackout]. That was a cool effect they had though

Did anyone play Ch 20 and think, wow this is wha a next gen Red Dead Redemption would look like? The horse riding and canyons reminded me of that game, but theres no way that series could look this good on the current gen.

One thing that bothered me was how the heck
did they lose Drake when he was drugged? I dont think that was ever addressed. That whole segment had me scratching my head

Oh and the [blackout]cruise boat[/blackout] level was pure epicness.

WTH, I heard there werent any rewards when you beat the game but you cant even choose your own skin? Man thats lame.

I managed to get 49 treasures without a guide. Getting them all and crushing will be my next goal

I kinda wish ND/Sony would make a CGI Uncharted movie.

My final game time was 8:29:39. I think thats slightly less than UC2

8 and a half hours of gameplay?
I think that will suffice for me.

Damn rocket launchers! Those who have played long enough know what Im referring to
The only rocket launchers that are a bigger pain in the ass, are the ones in InFAMOUS 2! These bastards run right up next to you and then shoot you in THEMSELVES in the feet with it, blowing you both up!

I see what ya mean, but the horse physics in RDR were still far better than it was here, but in terms of visual scenery i agree completely.

Another thing, for anyone who hasn't done so, i HIGHLY suggest picking up the soundtrack to this game, its beyond phenomenal. Its only 10 bux on iTunes.

Yeah, the score is great. Though, I noticed the one on itunes is only the first disc. The one I saw on Amazon that comes out on the 15th is two discs with about 18 more songs.

I just finished the game. I think I have a lot of problems with this game. The game never really excited me the way Uncharted 2 did. But it was still good. The Cruise Ship level was fun, but seemed a complete diversion from the story. And what did they do with Chloe's face? I don't know what's been talked about in this thread yet, but she looked really different.

Overall, to me personally it was probably a 8/10, with Uncharted 2 being a 10/10.

They fixxed her eyes. Its not as glossy as before. I think she looks better in this game. The talk for the last page has been Elena's face which also got some eye alteratinos

Ive gone back nad forth but I would say I also preferred UC2. My main gripes with this game was the story and pacing. I felt a real disconnect as some stuff were introduced but not fully explored. I felt Marlowe had potential but ultimately was an underdeveloped villian. I really didnt think there was enough Chloe and Elena and its too bad Chloe and Cutter dissappeared from the game after their segment.

Some stuff I also thought really stretched the imagination. Like [BLACKOUT]Drake surving a plane crash the way he did only to end up within walking distance of the city he needed to go to. Or survinging the cruise boat capsizing and washing up on shore right where Elena was. Way too convenient and didnt feel logical.[/BLACKOUT]. I did like that they delved into the history behind Nathan and Sully though. That was very well down as we finally got some backstory to him and his family. But that opens up even more questions. [BLACKOUT]So Nate isnt a descendent of Sir Francis Drake? What is his real last name? Where is his father?[/BLACKOUT]

The set pieces were absolutely amazing. Bigger and better than UC2. I loved the final segment but I was dissappointed in that the [BLACKOUT]race to the end felt like a rehash of what we saw in UC2[/BLACKOUT]. I also felt the ending to UC2 was better. It had a better epilogue to the game's story whereas UC3 to me at least left a bit to be desired and didnt really tie things up and bring it all back together the way UC2 did

With that said, I wouldnt give it an 8 but its definetly not a 10. Id go in the middle and say 9, maybe 9.5. The gameplay is fantastic and the multiplayer is an improvement. The graphics are phenomonal but it really takes a hit in terms of the story and for a game so heavily reliant on that, it is a big deal.

Anyone play Co-op adventure? There's actual levels and scenarios from Uncharted 1 and 2 in there, complete with UC3 graphics and of course, Chloe added in :D. I just did the Monastery chapters from UC1 and the Borneo section from UC2

Wait, which one is from Uncharted 1? So far i've played Borneo, London, Syria, Airport, all of which are from UC 2 & 3. Are you talking about Monastery? I just assumed that was the one from UC 2 as well.

Hey, do you guys reckon they'll add any co-op adventure content further down the line?

Also, for MP maps, I'd love to see a DLC of the cruise ship, which begins sinking like halfway through a game and turns everything on it's side. That would be awesome, and totally something I could see Naughty Dog do.

Beat the game...and I really liked it. It does have a real 'Last Crusade' feel to it, probably because of the horses and the fatherly theme to the story.

Gotta ask though, there aren't any gameplay tweaks whatsoever? They've had them since the first Uncharted...and not having any cutscene viewer, or single player skins (ie: Doughnut Drake) or render modes (ie: Next Gen filter), or unlimited ammo bonus options after beating the game is strange.

Unless I'm missing something.

So I've been trying to finish up my hard playthrough in U2before I go back and play all three on Crushing, and I left off in chapter 20 and have played through a couple of chapters already. And as much as I hate to admit it, it does seem like there is more action in U2 and I think that's mostly because there's this whole "war-like" experience. I mean Lazarevic had helicopters and tanks coming at you, whereas Marlowe and her men are a bit more low-key. So in that sense, I can see why people feel like there's more going on in U2, especially since U3 starts off a little slow and has more puzzles in the first half. Also, U2 was for chapters longer, so there was a bit more going on towards the end of that one.

But I would still say I prefer U3 over it because the entire game has a feel to it where you know that Naughty is on their third game and that they are looking for some more exciting and cinematic ways to present the story and the character dilemmas. I think the story is definitely not as predictable, and as someone mentioned earlier about how the game didn't seem to have as much humor and the previous ones, I feel like they make up for that with the drama and tension with the characters since this one is more of a darker, personal journey for Drake.

And I think the lack of humor could be attributed to the fact that [BLACKOUT]Elena is not as present, so there is a certain level of charm that is missing since their back and forth banter was always something that brought a lot to the table in terms of how they balanced humor and drama.[/BLACKOUT] But even with that, while U2's strength was the crazy action and gameplay that was new at the time, I think U3's strength comes from the characters and the narrative and since we already know what to expect more or less when it comes to gameplay, I feel like they needed to step their game up with the story telling and presentation, and that's what makes the game so great for me. I love these characters and was really excited to see where they went and I am definitely satisfied with how Naughty Dog handled them.

I don't get the lack of humour thing... I thought there were plenty of jokes. "Sully, you make everything sound dirty!" Lot's of funny banter between Sully and Drake.

And to be honest, i think if they overplay the Cocky guy attitude with Drake in EVERY game, the whole thing will become tiresome. I like the way they played all the characters in U3, this was more a digging into what was under the cocky, sarcastic surface, analysing the obsessive, damaged treasure hunters core.

I'm all for people saying they prefer Uncharted 2 to Uncharted 3. People saying that 2 blows 3 out of the water really confuse me though. The game is easily on par with Among Thieves, and I think it bests it. It's my favorite game on PS3.

No tweaks this time :(

Would have loved to use mirror world on some of those set pieces.
