Yeah the puzzles were challenging, I found myself figuring them out for a few lengthy minutes.

I gotta admit, I kinda wish I got the CE just so I could have Drake's ring.

Drake's ring? You mean... the one I'm wearing around my neck RIGHT now? :P

Heh in a interview discussing the future of the Uncharted series it was stated Drake in space is a possibility, what do you guys think about that?

After Finishing the Campaing My
Top 5 Favorite Moments of Uncharted 3 Are:
1. Entering the Dessert
My Favorite moment in the game just love it from dropping down to the fight with Marlowe's Men

2.The Horse Ride/ Chasing the Convoy
It felt really cool hopping off the horse and taking out the guy in the truck. Felt so fun.

3. Getting to the Boat/Sinking Ballroom
I think i really enjoyed the chapters from when you escape from The Pirate and trying to Get to Rameses Boat. I liked the swimming/climbing/shooting combo reminded me a lot of Uncharted 1

4.Young Drake
Just so cool seeing How Drake and Sully Meet. Very nice moment in the game

5.Chateu Burning
Just great seeing the escape and gun fight ensuing while there is a fire burning the chateau.

Additional Favorite Moment
Entering the Lost City at the End
I guess i liked this because it was similar to U2 which is why i liked it.

After they take him underwater, yeah, they can do that.
Or maybe in the same game.

Pretty much spot on for me aswell.

I just want the ring. :(

In other news, IGN has an article that speculates whether a recent job listing for Naughty Dog about "producing engaging and fun third-person action gameplay and levels," could be a sign that they are already developing a fourth Uncharted game. However, this could also refer to a new Jak and Daxter game.

I can't wait for the score to be released. It's always been one of my favorite things about the game. My favorite has always been the Nate themes. I like how have all been the same, with just a few subtle differences with each game.

Just finished the game tonight. While I enjoyed it, I had two major problems with it.

1. The biggest and most obvious problem is that, three games on, they're still trying to milk Nate and Elena's romance for soap opera drama. They got married between U2 and U3, which was nice given that Drake risked pretty much everything because he couldn't bear the thought of being without Elena at the end of 2... but then they apparently split up, which makes no f***ing sense for that exact same reason! It felt like they were just retreading old ground because they couldn't really do anything else with Drake and Elena; even though, ironically, just having Drake and Elena be together and happy would've been the truly novel thing for the two of them.

2. Retread is a word I'll probably use again in this post because that's what a lot of the game felt like to me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game and Naughty Dog definitely still know how to deliver satisfying, fun set pieces and amazing action scenes. But where U2 felt like a real escalation from U1--a bigger, more ambitious, more confident game from start to finish--U3 doesn't have that same sense of escalation. It feels like it's going through the motions of U2 again with different locations, to some extent. It lacks that fresh, new feeling that U2 had. Ironically, the only unique part of U3 was that the magical threat at the end turned out to actually not be magical this time around, which is sort of anticlimactic.
Other than those, however, the game was as good as I've come to expect from Naughty Dog. I encountered a few glitches but nothing game-breaking. The characters are all as engaging and fun as ever, and the exploration of Nate and Sully's relationship was really well done. Understated but poignant. I think I'd rank it below Uncharted 2 still, but it's definitely a great game in its own right.

Did anyone else think that the humor in this one wasn't as great as 2?

It was funny, but it didn't have any lines as great as "I'm so tired of climbing s***!" :funny:

What makes you think they were married? I has assumed they were engaged for a time and had simply not gone through with it.

And I actually think this one was funnier, practically every time Cutter talked I cracked up.

If there's one phrase Nate never gets tired of repeating in UC3, it's "Oh crap." :hehe:

I thought this made sense because
Drake has obviously never been in a seriously committed relationship before, and its always been his norm to walk away. But whereas it seemed in the past that he did it because he was kind of a player, I think now we see that its because hunting for treasure was more of a priority. I think after the last incident, Elena was a little more reluctant to see Nate chase after these things because it was going to get him and the people around him hurt. But as Sully pointed out, this particular case was more personal for Nate because it was something he chased after for almost 20 years, so I liked how they delved into why Nate was doing all this, and how he finally came to the realization that sometimes its just not worth it to risk everything and end up empty handed.

I can agree with this, but I think people will fall into the mistake of judging this as a comparison to U2, as opposed to its own unique experience. I mean, yes U2 was awesome, especially considering how much of a change they made between the first two games and how much of an improvement they made. So yes, it will be hard to top something that was already near "perfect" as U2 was. But at the same time, I think there was more strength all around in this one, whereas the excitement in the last one was purely from the action stuff. I was definitely more engaged in even the slower stuff in this one, than I was with u@, which is not a knock at all because that game left me in shock and awe too. But I think all around, they topped themselves again with this one.

Men do not wear engagement rings, so I think it was heavily hinted with the scene at the end that they got married. For most of the game, we know Elena has a ring, so we know they were engaged at some point. But once we see Nate also had a ring, I think it becomes more clear that they were actually married and that Nate's obsession with treasures got in the way.

Cutter was indeed pretty funny. As for your other point:

1. Why would Nate have a ring (the one Sully reveals he's been holding onto at the end, not Sir Francis') if they'd just gotten engaged? Only women wear engagement rings.

2. That wasn't an engagement ring Elena had on, it was a wedding band. Engagement rings have big ol' diamonds; wedding bands are (usually) a more understated, simple band.

Yeah, it was implied that the reason they're not together anymore is because Nate prioritized his treasure hunting over Elena. Their conversation about how Nate gets into all these death-defying adventures, where Nate accuses Elena of enjoying them just as much and she sternly but kind of sadly denies it, along with Nate's apology in the hotel room, seemed to indicate that Nate might be a little addicted to the thrill of chasing after treasures and knowledge as a means of escaping from a "real" life, which a stable, happy marriage to Elena symbolizes.

They definitely worked the break-up and romantic tension into the story well enough. My point is that it's just straight-up unnecessary. We've had 2 full games of "will they/won't they" romantic tension, and the ending of U2 made it pretty clear that Nate's heart was committed to Elena whether he wanted to admit it or not. The prospect of her death was pretty much unthinkable to Drake at the end of U2. That's dedication of a more than friendly sort. I guess my point is that they do the whole break-up/get back together spiel in U2 as a means of symbolizing Drake's desire to ultimately be a good man (as opposed to being a dishonorable thief by taking Chloe's offer to run off halfway through, forget about Lazarevic, and just be happy with her). It felt totally unnecessary and frankly kind of boring to rehash that same plot again in U3.

Started playing UC3 on Crushing tonight, man I love this game.

How would you guys rank UC3 compared to Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves?

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
2. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

I'd say the same:

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 10/10
2. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception 9.5/10
3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 9/10
