What do you think are some of the most underrated animated films ever made?

Whether they be from Disney or another studio, traditional animation or CGI animation.

Batman: Mask of The Phantasm

How can phantasm be underrated, it's the greatest batman tale ever put to film and the flagship piece of the dcau.

I'll tell you what is underrated, and that the incredibles. It's the only superhero film that has had a breath of realism in it with a real family connection shining through

just the idea of a retired hero wanting to relive the good ol glory days is a really humanising concept.

nothing else comes to mind...

released on x-mas day, only made less than 1.5 mil., real cult status by us fans on vhs and later dvd....

well that's more that it underperformed more than it was underrated

it would make far more than that if rereleased.

I always loved Titan A.E.....most of the time nobody has ever heard of that one. It was one of my favorite movies to listen to in full DTS surround sound. Had a decent soundtrack to it as well.

Emperor's New Groove. That is great Comedy.

Did poorly at the BO though. And most people these days seem to have forgotten all about it.

I recently watched that Sinbad movie on cartoon network. Shoddy plot but OH MY GOD that was some of the finest traditional Animation Ever!

Treasure Planet's considered to be one of the biggest flops of all time,, which is sad cuz it was really good.

WATERSHIP DOWN

They just don't animate like they used to. The quality from this film is amazing yet it's somehow fallen into obscurity with many.

Titan AE. It's a great "Star Wars" type.

Dinosaur
An American Tail
The Black Cauldron
The Lord of The Rings (1978)
Hey Good Lookin'

is that the one with the rabbits

it's highly received in the uk

My friend would jump and say: what about Cat Soup!??!?!

Yes. That's the one.

Although many here have never heard of it or just didn't care for it. As a child, I remember being blown away with the production value of it all. Simply beautiful stuff. :word:

Titan A.E and Iron Giant, which have been mentioned, spring to mind straight away.. erm Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp was pretty good too, I dunno how it did BO wise and stuff though..

An American Tail and Land Before Time in terms of quality and story telling and with all the CGI stuff, they don't get any love these days..
