Finally watched this. I appreciated that
it didn't have a happy ending. If it was a big budget film best believe everything would've worked out. Hell his wife would probably have ended up coming back to life somehow :hehe:

It was decent. Starts a little slow, but the second half is thrilling.

I thought this was 0k. I liked it but I don't think I'll watch it again. The concept is great. The action scenes when Stem takes over was very well staged and they were a lot of fun.

[BLACKOUT]I thought Eron was going to be the main villain. I assumed he killed Asha and paralyzed Grey so that he can later offer the latter rehabilitation through Stem. I figured the Cobolt angle (Fisk & his buddies had Cobolt bio-mechanic enhancements) was just a curveball and it was all a set-up from Eron. But what I didn't see was the final twist where Stem is shown to be mastermind behind every thing.[/BLACKOUT]

BTDubz, ya'll have ruined that LMG guy for me. I kept thinking about Hardy every time LMG was on screen.

Yeah, to watch once and forget. Also, it made me think of Venom.

There are times when this does feel a bit slight and the acting isn't always great but you can't fault it too much on those fronts given the budget and what they were still able to accomplish on a $5 million budget (primo Netflix episodes cost more than this now).

I think a lot of the details were nicely realized, the action is great and memorable, and there are a few moments where the concept really blooms in a way that few sci-fi flicks seem able to reach for lack of imagination. Probably the best Robocop movie since the original, haha.

I went in not knowing or expecting much and finished the movie surprised at how good it turned out to be. It was a blend of creative & gory sci-fi. Great performance by Logan Marshall-Green.

Character development outside of Grey Trace was very thin though, but still a very well executed movie.

Killer soundtrack! A Better Place by Jed Palmer is an absolutely beautiful piece of music.

He deserves more work, seriously.

And after watching it, you see why it's under the Blumhouse label.

Yes, this guy has acting chops & can play emotions / intensity very well.

He was also very good in The Invitation (2015), a great suspenseful and tension-filled thriller but unfortunately flew under the radar completely & didn't even manage to make back its reported 1m production budget.

I have no doubt Casting Directors in Hollywood have had their eyes on him for a while already.

Finally got around to seeing this. So good.

Me, during the first ten minutes: “I bet the creepy scientist is the one behind it all.”

Me, during the last ten minutes: “Ha! See? I was right.”

Me, during the last five minutes:

This was basically a Venom movie which is funny since Logan Marshall Green looks like Tom Hardy.

Love Logan Marshall Green, like him a lot in Upgrade ( great "b movie) incidentally i think that some of his performances, he is more interesting than Hardy lately, who i like a lot ( like in Quarry or The Invitation )
